What's new

DIYers do you still buy readymade juice?

Still buy a couple of bottles most months but finding my self more and more disappointed with them recently as my diy is getting better plus I have just accidentally made something pretty close to my favourite element banana nut bread which should save me a few quid

Generally no, the first ones I bought in about 4 months of DIY was when Chuffstuff had a cracking offer on. Their complete range, 300ml for £36 delivered. Couldn't resist trying at that price.

I did the same recently, got 500ml for £50. I've tried 4 and am very happy so far.

Lol, I've been meaning to ask this question for a while! I'm looking forward to starting DIYing but I don't know how I'll resist the urge to try all the juices when a discount code shows up..!

That's one of the benefits of DIY, it takes the pressure off so you can just wait for the offers.

My main source of premium juice though is as gifts - when someone asks what I want, I ask for juice.

Don't buy ready made juices for 3 years maybe , I like mild flavours , I prefer to do it myself and since there's so many flavours now , originals and clones , its easiest and cheap , atomic was talking about 300ml for £36 , for that price I can buy 1L 12mg base and several flavours for 6 months

Like many, you get bored of the same DIY recipes, which is why I restrict my batches to 50ml per.

If you're proactive (unlike me..) and successful mixing to your tastes - you will still buy pre-made juices.. like me! :D

At work and when I'm out and about I usually take my diy , but with the discount codes and offers on here I do like to try different flavours , this weekend I tried my first molejuice ( molesenburg) and I must admit I will definately be buying it again. I doubt I would pay over a couple of quid for 10ml these days though because with the offers on here there is absolutely no need to

Yes because I can't find a good clone for Cosmic Fog Euphoria :( it's my only vice

I still buy pre made juice, I started DIY simply because I couldn't afford to buy enough pre made juice each month to last. Now I probably vape half pre made and half DIY. Some vendors on here produce some incredible juice and I think it would be a disservice to try and replicate that myself, so I'll happily order their juice as and when I have the funds.

I started DIY for one reason and one reason only ... I couldn't afford to carry on vaping premade juice, it's just too expensive. I ordered my DIY and stopped buying premade otherwise I would have lost the incentive to work at it. DIY is ridiculously easy and a small fraction of the cost.

@Lord Grim 's analogy with food is perfect for me ... buying premade juice is like eating out, DIY is cooking at home. Who eats out for 3 meals a day, paying up to 10 times as much for their food as they need to?

I wince when a barman charges me £5 for a pint of ale, yet many vapers will happily pay over £280 for a pint of e-juice ... I'm not knocking the juice suppliers, they have costs to recover and kids to feed, I'm just making a comparison.

Since I started DIY in August 2014 I've gone through over 9 litres of DIY. The cost of 9 litres of premade juice would have been ridiculous .... thousands of pounds more. I would also have missed out on an interesting part of the vaping hobby and the useful pin money from selling juice to friends ... I say useful because it now covers the entire cost of my vaping. :)
