Hi Apes

Got my first DNA 200 mod last week (HCigar VT133)

Awesome mod and love it in power mode ,but i have run into couple issues.

First is running SS316 in temp control:-
I have used the TCR value of 0.000915 from https://www.djlsbvapes.com/dna200/ for the SS316
I also got some all SS 316 clapton wire from http://the-nobacconists.co.uk/thund...ool/stainless-steel-clapton-wire-3m-0-3-0-5mm

When i change the TCR of the material in escribe, it seems to be the same for all materials when i highlight them to check (surely the TCR should change when i choose each material)
Also the mod flags up temp protection very very fast so i maybe only get a couple of pulls on it.
Does anyone have any advice, as from what i have read SS316 and SS316L are too difficult to accurately do temp control and SS403 seems to be the only option?
Uwell Crown SS coils are also no good for temp control like this.

One other issue is after charging my Samsung 25R batteries the battery meter only ever show the battery at 97%
Its a dual 18650 mod so i am using 18.5Wh and cell cut off at 3.09 volts
I did change the Max continuous and Max Pulse to 20A but has not made a difference.

I am using EScribe V1.0.42 and the so called special button i have heard mentioned does not exist in this version.

Any Advice?

Don't bother with TCR's - simply use the CSV files for the material, the latest version of Escribe has a materials tab, just add those materials to the device. The latest version of the firmware should also allow you to select materials directly on the device by pressing fire 5 times to lock the device, then pressing all three buttons at the same time for approx 3 seconds. You should then be able to use the up and down to select a material and fire to lock it in...

As for SS316, it's pretty pants as a TC wire, it's response is so flat that it's just not very accurate...

@Tubbyengineer Thanks for the info

I just read though Danb post and def understand TC a bit more now.

I seem to enjoy the SS flavour more (Crown is one of my favs)

I may order some TI as this looks to be very accurate for TC.

Any advice of why full charge samsung 25r only showing at 97 percent though?

It's probably down to a slight error in the battery setup, you'd ned to run the battery analyser to get it exactly right...

@mammo
I'm running Titanium in my Herons at the minute, it needs a fair bit of bullying to get it just right - Make the coil, fit it, then use the mandrel you wrapped it on to pull the coil tight, usually you'll pull the coil a good few mm away from the posts, fire it at 600f the repeat the pull tight bit, then finalise the coil position and heat / squeeze / position the coil untill you're happy with it. I usually finish it off by running in power mode at 6 or 8 watts untill I just see the start of a glow then squeeze and strum the coil to get it running evenly. Once thats done pop it back in to temp mode, let it cool and then remove the atty, push the fire button to clear the resistance reading and refit the atty - fire it and check it works properly in temp mode, if it's fine you can wick it.
You'll find a properly done Titanium coil will last anything upto 4 months or so, if you start to get odd results after a while it might be the coil is breaking down. I usually find that it starts to vape cool, you reset the atty and it works fine for a while then once the mod goes to sleep and wakes up again the resistance drop by 0.2 or so and it's back to being cool again...
