im posting an awful lot of threads today it seems, but my brain wont stop ticking over. so the question here is do you wear gloves when youre mixing?

ill admit i dont, i do wash my hands both before and after though. i know nicotine can be absorbed transdermally but its not going to be that much in the short time its in contact with my skin and since i was a smoker and still am a vaper i have a reasonable tolerance so its not something that concerns me

I've has spills over my Vaping life but never had an issue...except that time I had an itch in my eye...

One of my first mixing accidents, I was decanting from a dropper bottle into another dropper bottle, 50ml of 24mg nic base all over me from neck to who ha.

Stripped down, washed up, and finished mixing in the buff :)

No rash, no itching and no nic high! I was fine :)

I do wash my hands before and after and i also keep a damp cloth close by as I havea touch of ocd and dont like sticky slimy hands :D

I have to be fair, I dont wear them. But then its the same with other little dangerous things we do like, I dont wear a seatbelt, or will operate a lightswitch with wet hands. I think its things like this, that sub-consciously makes us feel like we are 'non-conformist' or a bit of a rebel! :)

Never used gloves.... But then I am a scotsman, so the chance of spilling anything I have paid for is pretty remote !!

I wear a plastic disposable apron - loads available cheap off the bay of E.

And I only wear the Nitrile gloves when I put in the NIC base mix which I do at the end of the mixing session. I then keep them on for the washing of mixing equipment.

If you want to be doubly careful wear your gloves when it comes to adding flavourings too or you'll get some weird smell concoctions on the ends of your fingers if you're doing a few diff flavours - alternatively get some finger gloves or condoms as they're known.
