What's new

E-cigs now cause 'popcorn lung'

It's a thermal decomposition byproduct found in some lab tests where they ran some of the CE4 type clearomisers at power levels where no vaper would think of running them due to the obvious and foul burnt taste - but then reported as absolute fact.
Wasn't something like 10 second pulls with a 5 second gap at 15w. Pure stupidity.

In short the wick would be scorched to shit, you'd be inhaling burnt/burning wick and prob zero vapour.

I read Dr F's studies over and over before even picking up a mod, i think it should be a must do thing. He talks some sense and without his work it'd be harder to dispel this bollocks.

To put formaldehyde into perspective - have a gander at this:

As has been said - if your vape tastes like burning sofa, your risk is increased. My vape has never tasted like burning sofa - but my ciggies always tasted burned... ;)

As an aside, I've been working with formalin, gluteraldehyde and phenol for over twenty five years and the only noticeable effect it has had is a three inch increase in willy length. The grand total now stands at one and a half inches. :rotflmao:

I've had juice that tastes of arse....should I be concerned?

Absolutely you should mate. However, that might be gluteraldehyde or phenol - it's horrifically bad by there is a silver lining (see edited reply above...)

I'm amazed people still buy Newspapers!!! I haven't bought one since 1989 !!!
I still get one of the cheap ones (most paper per price) when I need to use them to protect a work surface. I just can't get out of the habit of using newspaper for that.
