Ive got a simple round wire reel of SS I shall have to wrap myself a coil.

Stainless steel is what I use exclusively, round wire 28-30g. Spaced coils will always work best, regardless of the wire. There are limits to what tc can handle, so you should shoot for 7-8 wraps, with nothing below a 0.3 ohms. If the coil is compact or too complicated (read alien etc), the mod will have problems reading the resistance

If @John R had put it politely, what he was trying to say, I believe, is that some mods/chips are considerably better than others when it comes to tc

Dicodes, DNA, and Yihi chips are unquestionably the best for tc. Geekvape mods have a tc that works a wee bit differently than others, and isn’t as exact or consistent as the above-mentioned. It does still work, however, and some other proprietary chips aren’t too bad at all, f ex Vandy Vape, Vaporesso, and Lost Vape, imo

I'm not doing very well here am I?

Mine is a Geekvape Aegis dual 21700 mod and it's working OK on mine.

Regardless of which mods are best for TC the bit I'm most bothered about is what comes out of the drip tip that I'm vaping and on that score the vape I'm getting is absolutely flying.

Don’t let Mr. Grumpy put you off or leave you in doubt, you’ll vape how you like, and with what you like. I’ve used Geekvape mods with tc, and they do okay. I would advise you, @MarylinC37 , to pick up some Ni200 and try it out. It will definitely work better with tc.

There's only one problem with that. Vape Club were selling off 10ft reels for 99p so I actually have 80ft of coil to use up first.

maybe the sent you the wrong wire, or it’s mislabelled?

I actually haven't got the first clue who sells reels of premade wire in Ni200 that I can wind into 4mm coils.

I need pre-made because I'm certainly not up to making up my own complex coils from scratch.
