Electric Kettle Vaping

If @John R had put it politely, what he was trying to say, I believe, is that some mods/chips are considerably better than others when it comes to tc :)

Dicodes, DNA, and Yihi chips are unquestionably the best for tc. Geekvape mods have a tc that works a wee bit differently than others, and isn’t as exact or consistent as the above-mentioned. It does still work, however, and some other proprietary chips aren’t too bad at all, f ex Vandy Vape, Vaporesso, and Lost Vape, imo :22:
I have DNA mods and disclose mods. I just don't use them regularly I rotate all my mods. There's a few that hardly get used. But thank you for the help.

Yeah, I use only stainless steel 316L, as do most tc vapers. Only suggested nickel because I thought it’d interest you…it’s the most similar to ni80 ;)

Tc vaping, like all good things, is a journey :D After a while, you will find what you like best!

I rotate all my mods, too, but they’re mostly dna mods :18: Have a few others I use for tc, as well. Love my dna60s, but the newer colour (C) dna chips have the replay function, which is fantastic.

Try them out in tc, and if you like them, invest in a few more? :hmm:

Thanks for all you brilliant comments and suggestions.

I'm just not sure how easy reels of complex wire in Ni200 will be to find but like I said I do have some SS chain link wire so I'll try that out on my next build and see how it performs compared to the Ni80.

In all honesty I've been vaping for around 7-8 years and I have only ever use wattage. I've never dived into other modes. My DNAs are most likely wasted on me tbh.

They are not wasted on you...my car has cruise control....never use it, ever....it's a function, an option.

Well it's taken me 10 years to get round to trying temp control so you'll be ahead of me. :14:

I'm sure once you get started on temp control you'll wish, just as I did, that you tried it years ago.

I have a Dovpo Odin DNA250C mod but just recently I bought a cheap Geekvape Legend 2 Classic mod from China and I'm actually happier with that than the more high end Odin mod.

I have the Odin 250c DNA too and I'm kind the same, I use more Boro mods lately than big box mods. I also have the hadron 250c DNA pro lipo but once again I still prefer my Boro mods.

Let me say rather categorically, a dna mod is still just a mod, iow a battery with a voltage regulating chip :18: In the old days(?), dna chips were far superior when it came to protections and precision, but proprietary chips have come a long way and evened out the field. While other manufacturers’ chips have gotten better, dna chips haven’t “evolved” much in the last few years (you may or may not get the joke). Many proprietary chips are more user friendly now, and precise enough to get the job done for many vapers. However, the only mods I would ever charge using a usb port are dna mods (I don’t anyway, but you get the point) :22:

Why a dna mod for tc vaping? There are primarily two reasons: 1) They are extremely precise when measuring ohms/resistance. Since tc works by measuring the changes in resistance due to heat, this means that tc functions more effectively. This is also why most build on, or at least test their builds on, a dna mod. 2) Escribe is a software program for dna chips available online for downloading that lets one customize their settings. This allows for bespoke settings that can change the tcr, metal types, tfr curves, the UI, and several other functions that can give even more precision and functionality :2thumbsup: Sounds complicated, but it doesn’t need to be, you decide.

Mods with dna chips will not give a miraculously better vape, but there is a reason most tc vapers choose them ;)

Everything I’ve said regarding dna chips goes for Dicodes and Yihi chips, as well.
