Electric Kettle Vaping

For example, if I vape at 14W and set the mod to 390F for a typical MTL vape, I'd set the boost wattage to 20 or 25W. Typically 20 for Yihi as they tend to rattlesnake over 20 and you can feel the Wattage trying to fight the temp dominance.

I kinda get what you`re saying but I`m taking baby steps and you`re about 20 years in front of me, I was thinking more in terms of safety.
Before I decide whether to launch myself at tc I`ll want to know that I have a good enough understanding of the principles and hardware to give it a chance.

The best mod I`ve got is the lv thelema with the quest 200 chip, but seeing that if I do take to tc I hope to try squonking, but for now the lv it is.

This is what's showing on my mod display when it's off and not firing.

It's showing what appears to be a default setting of 80W but when I press the fire button that figure jumps around between around 35 to 45 W which is obviously the mod reacting to the feedback it's getting from the coil. Seeing as the coil is Ni80 I'm sure the numbers are not where they technically ought to be but as long as the mod is letting me move the temp up and down the mod is obviously doing the rest of the work for me so I can get the flavour to that happy point where it gives me the best possible flavour.

That's a not too bad mod for TC. I've only dabbled with TC myself but some of the mod manufacturers are better than others. Of course DNA and Yihi are the best I've tried but some of the others aren't too bad. Apart from geekvape, their TC is dugshite. It just seems far too weak and not accurate. Been a while since I've tried one so their newer mods might be better to be fair.

Forgive my piggybacking but I`m only now becoming interested in TC and picking up nuggets along the way, so If I were to set TCR on my quest200 chipped mod, and set a temp and wattage, if I then install a coil that is not suited to TC, would the chip overule the tc setting and fire at the wattage that I`d set?

nothing would be overruled, but the chip would look for a temperature-related increase in resistance which would result in it cutting back the power. when it didn’t notice the resistance changing, cause you used wire that doesn’t have much of a discernible change in resistance when it heats up, it would just continue to fire at the watts you have it set at.
