Just had an email from the aforementioned vendor stating that they are withdrawing Squape R and Rose v2 clones.

Elegant Vapour

Hello, Valued Customers

We have been striving to get what you customers wish to have at affordable prices readliy available. But sadly sometimes we are forbidden to do so.

Paypal has limited our account, through which we receive payments from you, because it was reported to them that our website is currently infringing upon the intellectual property of StattQualm GmbH. Therefore, we are informing you that we are taking down the Squape Reloaded product off our website.

We will do the same for the Rose v2 clone as we expect to have similar issues with Paypal on that one.

We thank you for your support and will always continue to serve you, our customers, the best way we can.

Happy vaping and best regards,

It is interesting to see the route that some manufacturers are going down to protect their products.

(Let's not have this turn into a clone/original battle or the thread will be locked).

Despite being an avid clone user, I really do think good on both eden mods and stattqualm if they can make it stick. I'd be really pissed off if I'd sunk all that effort and cash into bringing a product to market and all I kept seeing was chuntish comments on faceache groups like "well china can make them for thirty quid so those guys are ripping us off".

Which caused me to unleash quite an outburst at the idiots making those comments. Not everyone can afford genuine gear, but dont slate the people making it when you have no clue about their overheads and investments. It really boils my piss that tbh.

I still don't understand why clone users only disagree with the product being cloned if it was originally made in the UK.

I have no particular feelings each way .. tho Im rarely satisfied with a clone TBH..

I do applaude the manufacturers actually taking some action instead of just the normal bitching about it we see left right and centre.. I hope more follow suite.

intellectual property and all that.

especially if logos are used ... Ive said before .. there is a difference between "in the style of" and "fake"

Don't think this is it at all.

Fasttech have removed logos on GP products. This has happened. I think it is the start of manufacturers starting to fight back against the clones.

It is interesting to me that people are starting to make a stand.

I have no agenda regarding clones. I choose to use original gear, but have used clones, both on a long term basis and on a try before you buy basis. I don't care what anyone else uses, I just find the enforcement of intellectual property finally coming into play a subject worth comment.

I see it being the start of something much bigger.
