EU regulator: No evidence to support restriction of Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine

Ill b nice and just point out the az vaccine is an mrna vaccine, just like pfizer and moderna

They will probably discover just as many adverse reactions to a nano lipid as an adenovirus
No it's a viral vector vaccine.

The Az is a cold virus, obtained from chimpanzees?
Yes, with the AZ vaccine the coronavirus' genetic material is contained within a chimpanzee cold virus.

It's not really right that we are being (willingly) injected with this stuff though :hmm: I know you might respond with "Better than covid mate", it's a shite state of affairs, nonetheless.

Yes, im not a epidimiologist, but i believe the adeno virus is the viral vector part of that statement
And i also believe it is just a term to describe what in this case is apparently a chimpanzee cold virus. (Essentially q non harmful virus used to trojan horse the vaccine into cells

Everything ive read or heard or seen on tv tho has said it was the same mrna vaccine tho. It being a 2 strand dna vaccine is definitely new info to me

Interesting, that is news to me. Up until now thay have been saying it was an mrna vaccine.

I stand corrected
I'm certainly no expert but my understanding is that AZ uses DNA and the others use RNA. Ultimately, the mechanism used for the genetic material replicating itself comes down to mRNA. Once the human cell has been infected it's mRNA that facilitates viral replication. But the actual way the vaccines go about getting the job done is quite different.

Of course, I'm very happy to be corrected if I've got it wrong.

I'm not a fan of unnecessary vaccination bud. Or meds, period. I've never had a flu jab and I didn't have one last year despite the push and invites and despite living with a clinically vulnerable person. I don't take paracetamol for headaches. I don't take anything unnecessarily. So despite the impression I may give on here at times, I get it mate. I'm not keen on getting the vaccine either. Never have been and never will be. But I'm prepared to get it for the greater good. I was extremely happy my wife had her second dose yesterday because she's clinically vulnerable. I'll also be glad when my mother gets her second dose because of her age. I don't think it's really fair for me to advocate the vaccines for them and not be willing to take it myself. Ultimately, I could end up being an asymptomatic carrier. I might not effect my own family but I might effect someone else's. That's why I will be vaccinated. But everyone has to make their own decisions. But I wholeheartedly agree mate; It's not good and under almost any other circumstances I would not have it. We're between a rock and a hard place. And I guess at times we just have to do things we wouldn't normally want to.

I can understand the difference between using a virus vs a coating of fat to get the vaccine into a cell, and u dont have to be a genius to predict which would probably have more side effects.

But the dna verse rna is where it gets over my head. Until now i was not questioning just because i was told they were the same in that respect. The fact that they arent makes me more wary
