Hi fellow COPD friend. Perhaps you shouldn't have revealed the COPD as now I have lots of questions for you....lololol....

How long did you smoke for? I smoked for 39 years. What stage are you? I am moderate. How long have you stopped smoking for? I'm restarting stopping from today. And how has your health/COPD improved by not smoking and vaping instead?

No worries if you do not want to answer. I just haven't really spoke many other COPD vapers.

Hi thats fine i smoked form the age of 15 on and off iam 55 now not had a fag now i took up vaping and thats coming up to 6 years now.
Iam the same as you iam at stage moderate.
As for my health since i have took up vaping is better due to the fact that i dont get up in the mornings coughing my lungs up anymore and get less chest infections other than that i still get very breathless when walking about but i dont think that will ever change as the damage has been done now to my lungs.

Thanks for you reply and sharing your story. Mine is basically the same. Only I started smoking at 11 and am now 50. I don't often get chest infections and get a bit breathless when exerting myself. Looking forward to seeing what if any improvements there will be in my health after vaping for a bit....:-)

Sorry to read of your ill health and wish you all the best in quitting smoking. When I first started vaping I found I coughed alot, in the end I dropped my nicotine strength down and was fine.
Now I sub ohm so only ever use 3mg

I think it’s fairly common to cough for a while when moving from cigs to vape, I did for the first week or two, takes a while for throat/lungs to catch up.
Other factors are vape kit used, draw style, nic strength, frequency, etc, but if you post your setup & style you’ll get good feedback here

coughing at first can affect a lot of people especially those with damage already done.
after the first day you will start detoxing your lungs where all the tar shite starts thinning and partially clearing. detox can take a couple of weeks. after that some say tastes return but strangely enough i never lost tastes even after a 37 year 20-30 a day.

right you say you are on the one below the max strength. this is slightly more confusing in the last year since nic salts started hitting the shelves.
nic salts are 20mg
normal ejuice nic if in 10ml TPD regulated bottles is 18mg, 12mg, 9mg, 6mg, 3mg, zero.

now we need to know what mod (the battery part), tank, coil ohm in tank and make of juice you are using as there and at what wattage if you are using a variable wattage mod or a fixed battery mod with no controls except on/fire/off.
if you are not sure then just post links to the site you bought from or post a picture.

there certainly is some shite cheap juice out there but then there are some seriously good juice and suppliers as well.

if you get a headache or feel nauseous then you are taking in too much nicotine so just stop for half an hour and it should clear.

and finally, keep it up as it will be the best move you ever make.
