We were contacted by a customer last night looking to to take advantage of our offer of a free replacement.

Its currently welded into the wall socket in his house and an electrician is on his way to remove it. I imagine its shorted and melted the plug. Once removed, its being forwarded to us for inspection. I did notice in the photos we were sent that the charger input on the back appears to be black, not yellow.

Will update when i have it here and ive photographed it and then taken it apart.

Fair enough I only asked because I thought it might be worth contacting fogstar but I think they are only replacing them in the last 60 days just don't use it and email them every fee hours until they reply and keep us posted [emoji5]

Will wait until the afternoon and email again. If they are in good faith they will answer. If not, you will hear about it.

And THIS is an account as to what happens when dodgy chargers are sold and used.

The guy has had a lucky escape and I personally would be sending NDB the electrical rectification bill!

I actually got a reply to my email. They are saying they don't sell fakes, and all chargers come directly from Nitecore.

If you were unknowingly sold fake chargers which obviously didn't come direct from nitecore then surely you would be just as pissed off about this as everyone else is. You would be in touch with nitecore and surely the decent thing to do would be to get in touch with the other reputable resellers to warn them not to deal with your unscrupulous supplier ?
Your business reuptation is going down the pan , yet you are strangley quiet on who your supplier actually is , and what action you are taking against them for the damage they have caused you.
If you don't want to publicly name and shame them that's up to you but if one of these chargers goes does go up in smoke even if it hasn't been sold by you , your name is going to get linked to it, so you need to get them out of the supply chain of other resellers, report them to nitecore and hell , if you were genuinely ripped off you should be going to trading standards yourself.

Oh and get that fucking warning on your website it won't scare off new customers it reassures them that if there is any problems that you will deal with it

If this was me, and knowing that a lot of other distributors and shops in the UK buy some or all of their stock directly from China, i would be shouting this suppliers name out for all so they dont make the same mistake.
