First Coil Build - Help!

dude, step away from the mech mod. you're close to going full retard...

you need to read up on how to check the resistance of your setup and to make sure your batteries can handle the current draw before you even think about coiling it and using it or you're going to injure yourself or damage something.

stop
if you have almost no resistance you have a bomb.

Fuck! Right, stopped, taken it off, will remove coils and bin them. Thank you!

Thank heaven for this forum and potv, and especially you oldhippydude for responding so soon. Could have really done some damage there!

Have to agree with @m0th With all due respect this seems to be a normal thing where people do a build and ask questions after,it just aint worth it especially with a mech. Shit I am still learning myself but I will ask first if need be,losing your pride dont hurt but lose an eye that can be fucking painful.

Haha thanks guys! Full retard avoided!

I will do my reaseach... nd buy something better for reading the ohms. Until then I'm leaving it alone.

Tend to get ahead of myself, and this time I really could have.

I have decided the millimeter isn't giving a clear reading on anything. Just watched that vid and checked my iClear, no solid number. Same with the 30b and a carto from my skycig. I don't think that's normal after watching that video.

And fuck pride. I come to hear for advice, to learn. Sometimes I just get a bit keen

you'll be fine with a multimeter until you get an ohms meter. i like this one...
$15.16 Atomizer Resistance Tester (Ohm Meter) - black / 510 + eGo + 808D at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

all you need to check is that your atomiser isn't shorted and that you are running a resistance that won't kill your batteries (or your teeth). what batteries are you using?

how old's your meter? could just need a new battery. don't you have a regulated mod (vamo, svd, mvp, etc...) you could check the resistance on?

Efest 18350, 800mah.

Even holding the pins together on the multimeter doesn't give a steady reading, and the difference in the lowest and highest number seems really weird. Think I will try pick up a proper one, not cheap eBay crap.

Meter is brand new. First time out the box. No other cv mods, a broken cool fire and a shed full of ego's
