What's new

First mech mod recommendations inc with RDA.

The Switch is an OK tube but the atty is a bit meh.
AV is fine enough but looks a bit off with a tall atty such as the Kennedy on that top cap what it has. That gap just plain infuriates me for some reason. Switch on the tube is not bad and replacement magnets can be found. Hybrid top cap so be ca canny with it.

I have the Endless and it is lovely. Nice solid lump of brass, switch is peachy keen with magnets or a replacement spring. Again, it's a hybrid so do know what you are doing. The Hourglass atty that comes with it is good kit and likes having flattened Nichrome in it. Go for the 2 post deck if you can as the 4 post one isnae as good.

If you want a reasonable priced starter go for the AV and either a Kennedy or a Recoil on the top. If you like #mechlyfe after that, go get an Endless or a Broadside.
Oh, and pop along to the shiny and happy @stealthvape and get some 'Brochrome' for coiling with...... trust me on this!

Trust me to say I trust you lol, I have had some really sound advice from this forum and I take in everything that I get advised in account and extremely greatful.
You helped me out before on my limitless RDTA that is sat on my wismec RX2/3. Now running a 0.15 Clapton at 100W and chucking them clouds, got 2 ltr of juice steeping and 150ml on way, again recommended from this forum (aerovape) 45%off.
So yea I do trust.
I got a friend that is a manager in a vape shop and I get really sound advice from him too but imo 50 minds better that 1 hence why posting on here as well.
Do I know what I am doing?? Umm, a years worth of reading and you tube video's but truth be told I'm not a 100% as it is my first mech. I got the safety part and this why I'm checking the ones I mentioned are a good starting point.
Apparently there is not a great deal in difference from the clones but the one I really want is like £300-400 quid. Not gonna do that until I know exactly what I am doing and what I want, if ya get me?
this is the mod I was thinking?

The RDTA

If anyone can think of a better set up for a beginner then I'm all ears [emoji1301]

Thx again

Make sure you 100% know what your doing/looking for before you buy one, pins, batteries, how you put together and take apart.
CONSVR or Broadside are good options. Vaping101.co.uk has Broadsides at 21.99. Bargain. Get HB series or VTC5a batteries (mooch said it not me). Orrrr get a noisy cricket run in parralel and have poece of mind if you build a bit low.

Anything you buy from either Knucklehead or Vaping 101 will be backed by excellent customer service and usually very high quality, Adam (Ralfy) and Tony take real pride in their work.
One thing I will point out though, and this isn't a slight in any way, is that Tony from Vaping 101 openly admits he isn't a mech user so his advice may be slightly limited, his Facebook group, though, is full of knowledgeable folk. Adam on the other hand lives and breathes mechs.

I have a few clones from Knucklehead and they've all been flawless with their quality and operation, the Broadsides they have just started selling are almost indistinguishable from the authentic. They're also perhaps the safest mech currently on the market.
I got a Hanged/Unholy kit from Vaping 101 and aside from one overly tight o-ring (easily sorted) it's also absolutely brilliant.

My advice would be to stick with these two vendors and maybe Shade E Vaping and Bold Vape and you won't go far wrong in terms of quality and customer service.
As for what mod to get? I'd say the Broadside because it's amazing quality and very safe or the Able, because it's very simple and has a lockable button.
As for what RDA - Kennedy two post (25mm for the Broadside or 24mm for the Able) or the clone Mad Dog from KHV, I hear it's equally as good as the authentic, which I love.

I'm 99.9%, TBH the only way I'm going to know more about them is by getting one to fiddle with.
I will then be taking it to a friend with a shop and he will walk me through it all in detail.
Yes the batteries I would more than likely be the VTC5a's
Did look at the noisy cricket but was discouraged a little by someone as a first mech, will gith the broadside a look. Thx for that site [emoji6]

Thx for that dude, will Defo scout it out, KHV seems like the way to go for me, heard great things about them [emoji6]

Adam and Liz are fantastic to deal with and provide excellent customer service.
Join the Facebook group they run - GoCloneOrGoHome, it's has a great family atmosphere and a no fuckwits policy of dealing with idiots. Best of all there's no elitist bullshit as everyone is welcome (clone, authentic and regulated).

Hey guys been vaping for few years now and gone from ego to 75w box mod, experimented with all kinds of tanks and RDA/RDTA's. Now I'm on the RX2/3 with limitless RDTA Classic and chucking clouds a good un. However this to me is my daytime vape and I am wanting something special when the kids are in bed, you know that next level snizzle?
Over last year I done loads of research in to these mech mods and still a bit nervous in to taking my plunge in to this realm. So my task for you guys is this, I got the short list between the endless mech, switch mech and the able mech and I do like the reviews on the able.
I know ohms law as I am a spark and I am very serious on battery safety but just wondered what you guys think first before I jump in?
Favorite one so far is the able (AV, clone !) from knucklehead vapes. Not sure on the RDA yet but looking at the goon one?
Will be crashing out shortly but will read posts in morning and get back to you soon as I can.
Thanks again in advance guys, know you all give awesome advice, looking forward to you views [emoji6]
I bought one of the Able clones from there and used it for a few months with the kennedy rda. I found the kennedy alot easier to build on that through goon.

Can't fault that build to start up on without having to spend big bucks

For a 1st mech, the Broadside is the best you can get, safer than most others hits hard and looks lovely.
