Have been looking at the phantom.

Also been offered a AV able clone full kit for similar price, I know it's hybrid connection.

Order some more ss wires, ohm reader and some vtc5a batties whilst a decide on on mod/research more

The SOI shorty is worth considering.
Not a hybrid cap, solid tube and nice switch.
Far better than an able and phantom can be hard to get mitts on.

Why is it better than the able? Is there clones of the shorty?

Yeah have struggled to find the phantom online (in the colour I want)

But out of my price range. But will have a look at it in more detail.

I am coming around the hybrid tops. Aslong as my coils and battery are good with each other and I use the correct rda is there much else to worry about for hybrid tops vs normal 510 tops?

Have a look in the classies....
As long as the 510 pin protrudes enough, your batteries are good, you regularly clean and maintain yir Mech there shouldn't be much hassle.....

Don't think I can see classic due to my post count??

Il be running 0.2ohm - 0.3 ohm coils and using vtc5a battery's in a twisted messes clone

I'll double check the ohms when I build against the max amp of the cells anyway

My builds are usually about 0.2 ohms. So they're about a 21a draw.

What battery's are you using?

VTC5A, LG he 2 and 4.
Plenty spare amp capacity.
Fogstar or Ecolux for your battery needs.

Oh and have a swatch at the Brochrome on stealthvape....
