First vape kit

Hi,

Newbie here, have tried vaping a long time ago but got a really bad case of acid reflux after accidentally ingesting some of the liquid when vaping so haven't touched for a while.
More of a herbal smoker, which i have quit and don't really have much of a cigerette habit other than maybe a couple of roll ups a day and can sometimes go a day or two without any at all.
What I'm looking for is something pleasant to inhale so i don't go back to the herbal stuff and don't have a roll up when i do get the urge from time to time.

Theres so many variables with vaping that I've got a headache trying to find something suitable.
Not sure if i need if i need mtl or dtl but i do have shisha every now and again which is dtl so i won't have a problem with either.
As mentioned i don't really have a nicotine habit but will probably go for something with a very small amount rather than small to give bit of a kick since no longer on the herbal.

What kit would you guys recommend me that gives nice flavour, is smooth on the throat, doesn't leak and doesn't spit to avoid acid reflux? Ideally I'd like something good that won't need upgrading for some time. Any recommendations would really be appreciated.

Hi and welcome @Smokee good your trying to give up fags. I’ve been off cigarettes for five months now and yes it is a maze trying to find a suitable vape kit. After a few different kits that didn’t work for me a friend suggested I get an @Innokin adept Zlide I get on well with that and it hasn’t leaked. I’ve also found that Puff Dragon Redster eliquid at 6ml nic is smooth and mellow for me. That’s my choice yours could be different. There are lots of people on here with different opinions other than mine so there’s plenty of advice to be had from the friendly bunch on here good luck mate.

as you said there is so much kit out there it can be a mindfuk to decide. everyone will have different suggestions so the final say will be upto you but if you do see something you like then always ask here first as usually we can find it cheaper.

if you go for a mouth to lung kit then these are always lower wattage kits so you most prob wont be able to direct to lung sub ohm so go in the opposite direction. get a direct to lung kit and then if you wanted to mtl then all you need is to get higher ohm coils and turn the wattage down or get a seperate mtl tank.

not small as such but a lot smaller than most of my dual battery mods is the geekvape aegis max mod which takes a single 18650 or 21700 battery and goes upt 100watts.
the geekvape zeus tank or the newer max tank are 100% leakproof and even lying down there is no leak as they have top airflow.

Welcome to POTV @Smokee and the questions your asking are the right ones.

I’d struggle offering you advice on starter devices and juice tbh as I’m a one brand man and make my own juice.

maybe ask @Astral or @ForestMagpie as the come across a broad range of devices.

I’d also suggest laying of citrus type juices as they might not help with acid reflux.

Best advice to offer you is don’t spend an initial fortune on gear try and find out if your mtl or DTL . Also look at getting some 10ml juices to try and find your genre of flavour.

Thanks for the tip on how to use a dtl kit as a mtl. I like the sound of the geekvape and the 2ml might not be that much of an issue as i barely smoke now so probably won't be using the vape that much tbh and hope the nice flavours won't change that. What is bubble glass?

Is 70/30 or 50/50 the most suitable liquid for the geekvape mentioned above?

70/30 for sub ohm and 50/50 for mouth to lung

Bubble glass is where you buy separately a larger glass which holds more juice. Think the geekvape Zeus is 4ml so double the standard 2ml glass
