Hi peeps,

Like another post on here I've just read, I'm not into this hello stuff either haha. But it's good to be a member of forum of something that I'm really sure is going to become a huge passion of mine....

So anyway, I'm gatecrashing because I'm still a smoker; awaiting very impatiently for my PV to arrive by post that I ordered last night (I wanted to post a link for opinions but not sure if this is against forum rules or not).

About me:

Heavy roll-up smoker - I go through 20 lighters a day
I really love smoking (been smoking for over 20 years) but now think that it's time to get rid of the ash, the stink and the effing cough.

Until a week ago I thought that I'd remain a smoker until the yawning grave (an early arrival no doubt). However, by pure chance I clicked into a world that I never thought existed (I thought ecigs were only gimmicky crap that looked like cigarettes). Hopefully, fingers' crossed, I'll be able to save up enough pennies and get one of those tasty looking Provari's pretty soon.

Anyway, thanks to whoever got this forum up and going; looks really good and demonstrates the internet at its best

We were all at that same point as you! I was a smoker 22+ years and because of the net found all the info and love (mooshy me today) I could possibly need. You sure can post a link, the post might get auto moderated but one of us fine modmins would be quick to approve it

Tbh, I have a feeling that I've purchased a not-so-great piece of kit, but I read so much and got so excited in a space of few hours that my IQ plummeted to double digits, got totally confused but couldn't wait to get something haha. At least this looks pretty idiot proof, has everything included (I hope) and is a pretty cheap intro into vaping. I've also ordered 60mg of juice, and having a feeling this is going to last me a couple of hours....

I'd very much appreciate honest opinions, cheers.

Welcome to POTV, don't to too hung up on what kits better etc, they all do the same job at the end of the day, just some better than others. Welcome top the world of vaping!

A really common perspective, mainly because google searches come up with these and supermarkets/garages/newsagents stock them. Some people manage to stick with them somehow (they don't frequent forums so we don't really know how many) but for a real Vape there are better things. In my view the cigalikes can put people off Vaping too.

35 yrs a smoker for me and the switch to ecigs (once I'd found something better than a cigalike) was easy! Good luck and welcome

Don't worry about your status. Some people take an age to give up smoking via vaping and some just vape to cut down on the evil weed. There's no prescription here - though if the site helps you find vapes and kit that help you reduce your use of the stinky things - or get rid of them all together - then good. But it doesn't have to be an 'either or' - it can be a progression or a substitution - there are no 'rules'.
