Germany to hold vote on mandatory Covid vaccinations

As expected, just heard BJ say in the press conference - when asked- that mandatory vaccination is NOT on the UK menu. :)
For a future discussion, he said, when we need to move on from non pharmaceutical interventions.

Yeah, he mentioned "other measures". Forced vaccination IS a forced pharmaceutical intervention which from the very first words out of his mouth he made clear he doesn't like the idea of. He went on about "other measures" to protect the hard to reach and vulnerable.

If I wanted forced vaccination I would certainly not be taking any comfort from what he said.

Yes, (mandatory) vaccinations, he just didn't say it, but he heavily implied it, everyone who listened or watched him, will know that, unless they're as thick as shit.

So let me ask you this? BJ is clearly against the idea (according to what my ears heard. Others may have heard it differently). Regardless of whether he was actually for or against it, do you believe that mandatory vaccination would ever happen here?

Bookies is open btw. I'll give any member here 50/1 that we never see mandatory covid vaccination.

it’s part of the plan :)

to be fair though, usually when he says something isn’t going to happen a short while later it happens. remember xmas?
Maybe I live in my own bubble (it's possible) but honest to God I don't see it mate. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong as only listened to it once until it switched to the Xmas party bullschnitz at which point I tuned out, but I didn't hear anything positive out of his mouth about mandatory vaccination. I believe he said there could be "a time for a national conversation". I don't see that conversation going well, IF one ever takes place. And he clearly stated from the off - to my ears at least - that it's not an idea he likes and never has, and that doesn't surprise me about BJ in the least. In fact, that's what I would expect from him.

Doesn't effect me personally as I'm double jabbed with my booster booked, but personally, I think there's more chance of my nob suddenly sprouting an extra 4 inches tonight than mandatory vaccination ever coming in.

How 'bout this then @Mitz: I bet you 60 ml of my famous Lemon Custard we will have mandatory Vacc's within 12 months? Yesterday one of Boris' ministers (cannae mind his name) said "......we have no plans etc, etc.....but we are not ruling it out...". Also t'day the redoubtable Boris did say "....we will have to consider how we protect those who are not vaccinated...." This is all political speak, I am convinced they will get the vaccinated to pressure the refusenicks, failing which, they will lock up the unvaxed at home 'till they capitulate. I watched a speech by Neil Oliver At the New Culture Forum 2021....to paraphrase his hour long speech.....'Stand up people, or we are fucked'; no quite but in that ballpark.
