Germany to hold vote on mandatory Covid vaccinations

If they go ahead along with the Austrians it will creep across Europe and, probably, end up here at some point next year. I cannot see this going down well with the anti's. I think each country will go ahead with it because they have the momentum of the pro's behind it (The vast majority), but it is going to be very divisive and, personally, being on the 'nay sayers' side, I anticipate virtual house arrest until I can be coerced into conforming. If a mandate fails to persuade the likes of me, then I am pretty sure there will be further restrictions and penalties escalating to God alone knows what, I am fearful BUT I am in my sixties, so fuck it, if this becomes the cross they hang me on I will take it on the chin. I am not owned by anyone, and if the society I live in decides to cut me out, I will unhappily endure whatever they decide to do to me. One thing is for sure, I know MANY people who have had the disease and got through it fine, that would be my pref, I WILL NOT end up a gibbering cripple like my younger brother, it is only an option for those who haven't experienced the other side of the vaccine equation and, God willing, none of you end up in that situation......if you did, you would have slightly more concerns about what you may be letting yourself in for.

Well, I'll qualify what I said about France.... I think there is zero chance of a vote passing over there. Whether Macron actually has the nut-sack to try it if he's reelected, we'll see. I seriously doubt it tho, but it could happen then. Depends where we are in a few months I suppose. Still say there's zero chance of such a thing passing over there.

Yeah, I'm afraid I think you've got a long wait for things to get back to normal mate. No prophet, me mate. Just don't see it, but it's not like I've never been blindsided before.

As expected, just heard BJ say in the press conference - when asked- that mandatory vaccination is NOT on the UK menu. He's clearly not a fan of that idea.
