Germany to hold vote on mandatory Covid vaccinations

i’ll refer you back to your first post in the thread, which was a general statement about losing freedoms. you’re only trying to qualify it now because it turned out what you said wasn’t right.
...and I will ref you to post *35. If you genuinely cannot see the order of magnitude of difference in the 2 statements, where one places limited restrictions on your freedom of movement, and one removes the freedom to chose what fuckin' poison is forced into your body, then we are all truly fucked. They are not equivalent except in the fevered imagination of someone more interested in points scoring

you maybe didn’t see the next post. i was referring to the statement i quoted there.

it’s nothing to do with point scoring, i just have little patience for catastrophising.

i get your point, but i think you need to examine the circumstances. we are in the middle of a global disaster and it seems a cert the refusers are making the situation worse. there are many freedoms removed frequently. that’s usually the point of laws, to restrict one thing or another.

as pointed out above, every day of the week patients in mental health wards are being pinned down and injected with drugs, and old people with dementia are getting it sprinkled on their dinner.

the house of commons and the house of lords are parliament. they are who approve it.

interesting, if you read the article @Mitz copy and pasted above, it says 70% of the german population support it. i think it’s true a lot of people are really pissed off with vaccine refusers.

Parliament is made up of two chambers: The House of Commons & The House of Lords.

Legislation is introduced in the Commons and after multiple readings and any amendments, it is sent to the Lords who either approve it, in which case it goes to the Queen for Royal Ascension, or the Lords send it back to the Commons for amendments to be made. If amendments are made it's sent back again to be cleared.

I believe the Commons has the power to bypass the Lords in the case of a stalemate. Parliament is supreme but the true power rests with the House of Commons as that is the elected chamber and represents the power of the people.

Government induced Lords reform is an example of the Commons' authority. Tony Blair's House of Lords reform for example.

My understanding, anyways. Happy to be corrected.

Yeah, according to the poll quoted there seems to be a lot of popular support. We'll see whether that polled support translates in to votes.

I don't really care much re your patience or otherwise. Equating being incensed at losing the freedom to chose what untested poison, (and it surely is...just look at the vaccine injuries they are admitting to!) the State demands the right to inject me with to catastrophising, is no true reflection of the content of what I said. Those who take this poison without incident have absolutely no clue of what it feels like to watch a family member destroyed by a poorly tested toxic chemical; and now, those of us who do know first hand of it's terrible dangers, may perhaps be FORCED to give the state access to our bodies......NUTS!! Just give me a cowl, a bell and maybe a place on Anthrax Island to live on and I can cut about shouting UNCLEAN!! all day to keep the decent people safe from a terrible affliction that, at best, badly affects less than 1% of people who fall victim to it. I stand by what I said....once they have access to our bodies then they aren't limiting freedom, they are removing it. And re the mental health thing, If someone isn't Legally Compos Mentis and is therefore unable to act to keep themselves and those around them safe then that is an entirely different thing.

i mostly agree with you, to be honest. but in the circumstances i can totally understand why they are doing it. 70% of the population support it (basically the ones who had the vaccine) and are surely pissed the fuck off with the other 30% of who are refusing it for mad spurious reasons, and perpetuating a fucked up situation in the middle of a global disaster. you’ve surely seen the morons out protesting with laurence fox and david icke here, i’m assuming it’s just as bad there.
I try not to watch the bellends like Icke protesting , they boil my piss too much and I end up shouting at the tv.

@phatbhoy You have a family member, who was fit and healthy, who had a stroke or something similar, that was related to/ caused by the first jab?

i think we will need to agree to disagree about this i’m afraid.
