Getting the Brushed finish

How would I go about getting the brushed stainless steel effect on say an IGO-L or AGA?

What tools would I need and how would it actually be done?

Would guess really fine wet and dry paper or brillo pad,dont quote me on that though.

green scotch brite does a cracking job

old 510 connector slow speed drill and wet and dry to get the shine off then green pads as whit77 suggested

run the drill at slow speed to insure the grain runs the same way
