Ministers are considering tighter restrictions on smoking outdoors as part of a drive to phase out tobacco.

As first reported by the Sun, external, smoking could be banned in pub gardens, outdoor restaurants, outside hospitals and sports grounds.

SMOKING will be banned from pub gardens and outside football stadiums, leaked government plans reveal.

Sir Keir Starmer is plotting to drastically extend the indoor smoking ban to a raft of outdoor locations - secret Whitehall papers seen by The Sun show.
Sparking up will be stubbed out from outdoor restaurants, small parks, and even on pavements outside nightclubs.
Vapers could also be stung as part of the new smoke-free rollout.

The Whitehall papers also mention vape-free areas but it is currently unclear if the outdoor smoking ban will extend to e-cigarettes.

Eejits. The pubs etc are already in decline due to the smoking ban. This will ensure that even more will close down.

I'm not surprised, no doubt a minimum alcohol unit price is also incoming. This is the thing, or one of the things, with Labour, the chunts always want to regulate and dictate how we live our lives :11: They will also ban people vaping indoors, in public settings. Imo if the proposals on outdoor public smoking come to fruition then it will almost certainly be applied to vaping as well.

Existing smoking bans also generally apply to vaping as well (though not enshrined in law).

"They" see second hand vape as harmful, and they also want to add to the anti-vape propaganda as much as possible...

And just how will they police this?

Venue staff, PCSOs, local wardens, plus private security firm employees and council officers driving around in vehicles trying to catch folks out and issuing fixed penalties notices.

fair enough, it s getting stupid though , all ive got say though is those peeps who thought voting labour in would be for better, what a big mistake that chunt has only just started & things are going get awhole lot worse.

Too be robots and slaves is all they want from us. I was obviously a smoker in 2007, when the smoking in enclosed public places and venues ban came in, I supported it. This shit is dark and dystopian, with psycho Streeting at the helm.
