Lost control eh.... lol
It's funny but people always say after a cold and flu season that they didn't get anything that year or maybe they will say how they had one cold after another. Thing is they did get it but were asymptomatic ie: the immune system dealt with it and symptoms were mild or non existent, just like covid. Or maybe they were run down and had been doing too much and not looking after themselves and got a bad dose, just like covid.
It's a cold virus in the community, lockdowns etc are to protect the health service and that's all, not to protect people and stop them getting it. You're going to get it in one form or another at some point pretty much guaranteed unless vaccines are super effective (doubtful and dangerous)
Vitamin D, Zinc, Vitamin C healthy living and pray it doesn't mutate to cause more serious inflammatory response in young healthy people
Im in the hoose, but will be leaving an infected area soon to go to a non affected area for luncheon
Well it might slow down the rate of transmission in the population so everyone doesn't get it at once thus protecting the health services from being overwhelmed but its not going to stop you getting it eventually unless it is eradicated completely. So if you go to a pub or a similar location where it is in the air it is going to infect everybody there. For people following the rules they're going to limit how many others they then pass it on to in their social and work circles which will have an effect on how rapidly the population are inevitably infected over time.it doesn’t make sense to say that lockdowns are intended to prevent health services but not to stop people transmitting the virus. the very way in which they protect health services is by reducing transmission of the virus, no? or have i picked you up wrong?

But its not going to stop you getting it in the long run unless it is eradicated which IS the point.but referring back to your original point that i questioned, if we were in a lockdown nobody would be going in a pub as the pubs would be shut and people not allowed out.
reducing transmission of the virus is the purpose and direct result of a lockdown.
