Have your say - Creating a smokefree generation

Plus, I just don't have the drive any more... the whole disposable thing on here really took it out of me, so did writing to all the UK liquid manufacturers... I'm in 'you reap what you sow' mode these days. .. and if this fucks over the industry then part of me thinks they deserve it.

It will defo have an impact more than just hitting the reset button to pre disposable days.... Im just a punter...the big boys Vampire Vape and the like can worry about the industry as a whole.

This is a ridiculous proposal anyway if they hate flavoured vapes so much why don't they also target alcohol as well as stuff like wkd and sours are the same surely it's just another thing to get all the Karen's to vote for them.

I totally agree with you unfortunately a lot of eliquid and vape companies are to blame for this for not self regulating to help protect their own industry.

They make a killing in tax from booze. Vapes not so much.

They're not doing this because they care anyway, it's for political points.

Totally agree also some people would disagree with me but I'm fine with a reasonable tax on vapes providing they leave them alone except disposables they can do whatever they want disposables

I don't blame them, businesses follow trends to make money without emotions.

There's already a 'reasonable' tax on vapes, 20% VAT. As the government says it is keen for smokers to switch to vaping then why tax vapes further other than the obvious which is increased revenue.

I started it, decided it was complete nonsense and bailed. I'm not going to help them create policy that I oppose. I'm going to write to my MP and urge them to oppose ANY new restrictions on vaping for adults.
That`s what I did.

True tbh I'd be fine of they got rid of disposables, implemented plain packaging and made it so you have to be licensed to sell them like tobacco and alcohol and increased fines for not doing proper id checks which would be the most sensible solution but I doubt they will do that as that makes to much sense
