What's new

Hello from West Wales

Hi everyone, and thanks for letting me join the forum.
After 18000+ days of smoking (I’ll let you do the maths!) and being diagnosed with COPD, I dropped the ciggies, pretty much overnight, in favour of vaping.
About 100 days “clean” now
So, new user and plenty to learn.
Looking forward to the ongoing journey

Hi, I know where you stand as my mom was diagnosed with COPD 2yrs ago while visiting and her state was a disaster..... She's packed up over night as well and went into vaping world as that was 1 of 2 choices which she could make I know it was similar for You .

So I wish u all the best in keeping it up!!

Welcome to the Forum ... new myself, but learning a lot from good people.

Good luck with the COPD and keeping the good no smoking up

Hello @John R Phillips and welcome

And well done on 100 days clear. If you're anything like me, that's the hardest bit behind you now.

You inspired me to do some maths and discover that I had smoked 150,000 cigarettes over 20 years until I started vaping.

I didn’t do that “equation” for fear of frightening the c**p out of myself

I found the first 2 weeks the hardest - I still “enjoy” the aroma of smoke when I pass it on the street but was in a supermarket the other day and walked past someone who had obviously outed a ciggie - That was gross

Generally I don't enjoy the smell of smoke any more, but very now and then (I'm not sure what makes the difference) it does tickle my tastebuds and make me fancy a smoke.

I don't think I'd actually enjoy it though. I had a ciggie 6 months after giving up and it tasted so bad I ended up ditching it.
