Help adding nicotine to a 400ml zero batch

Hi all,

Been on zero mg now for a good 6 months by choice. Was all good at first but tonight (not the first but surely the worst night) its got to a point i nearly went to the shop to get a pouch of baccy.

Think i need to get some nicotine back in my juice to stop this insane craving to smoke again.

Im a menthol man, ive tried so many flavours and i always go back to menthol. So i made up a 1L of the stuff and perfected it to my taste buds.

Thing is i want to add nicotine (in small 30ml batches) but dont know how to do it or where i can get the nicotine from.

My local shop sells pre mixed 70/30 and all i need is the concentrate to add to my ready made mix.

Anyone point me in the right direction, im going to bed early so i can sleep and not be able to think about smoking (i never remember my dreams so i wont know if ive been dreaming about smoking)

ok pretty easy.. for 30ml batches . first you can get nic from vapetastik here

thats 72mg PG based nic.

so to add that to 30ml of juice it would be quite easy. if you just tell me your current pg/ vg ratio and how much % menthol youve used then i can work out exact calc for you to get to the same ( as the nic is PG you may need to add some VG to keep the ratio the same. VG also available here if you dont have any

Ok you need to get hold of a nicotine base (unflavoured)

72mg base you need to add 1.3ml into a 30ml mix this will give you the required 3%

54mg base you need to add 1.7ml into a 30ml

24mg base you need to add 3.8ml into a 30ml mix

Base liquids in higher strength are available online, lower(18/24mg) might be available locally as its just unflavoured juice but will weaken your flavour down much more for which u may need to compensate for.

thats fine if you dont mind it messing up your pg/vg ratio but its not as simple as that. firtly if you add 1.7ml you end up with 31.7ml. second if nic is PG based then that will change your pg/ vg ratio and same as if the nic is VG based so you have to factor that in as well. and for 30ml juice its actually only 1.25ml of nic . you have to reduce the 30ml to account for the added quantity of nic so you would be in fact using 28.75ml of existing . hence why you need to the amount of concentrate used plus the current and required pg/ vg ratio

Thanks to both of you. My mix is 60/40 vg/pg so either vg or pg base would be fine i rekon as it wouldnt make much difference.

Oh and it was 75ml flavour and 425ml vg/pg

ok so 500ml of juice in total with 75ml flavour equals 15 % flavour at a 6040 vg/ pg mix
so if we work on that first then do the division

that currently equals 125ml pg, 300 ml vg and 75ml juice

so with 3mg nic added you get the following

nic base at pg = 20.83ml
pg 125ml
vg 279.17 ml
flavour still at 75ml

so as you can see your VG has decreased. you cant take out what you have already put in so you need to increase and add some vg to the mix to retain a 60/40 vg mix. so lets base it now on 30ml

30 ml would be
currently
7.5ml pg
18ml VG and
4,5ml flavouring

now add the nic you get

1.25ml nic
6.25 PG and
18ml VG
4.5ml flavour

as near as damn i can get is if you make 32ml juice and get a 100% VG nic base
then you need the following

1.33ml of Nic
8ml of PG ( so add 1/2ml ) and VG stays at current 18ml ( 40/60 is actually 17.87 so it will be more like 60.1 vg 39.9 pg.

and you would need to add 0.3ml extra flavour

so to sum up .
take 30ml of your current
add 1.33ml of VG based nic
add 0.5ml of PG
add 0.3ml of flavour

that will give you a 60/40 VG/ PG 3mg nic juice of just a tad over 32ml
