Help with DotMod AIO V2

If by OOS you mean Out of Stock, it’s still available in the uk for about £60 ;) Thought you were a proponent of authentics over clones :18:

The clone works just fine, I have both, not the same quality, but not much difference in the vape, in all honesty :22:

thank you! And I’m terms of the best coils to use in the BP mods what are your opinions on cool type material and resistance- not sure if it’s best to go SS or Ni80, and on top of this do you use temp control or vape with in normal power mode. Thank you so much for your help

Easy to answer for my part:

316L stainless steel round wire, 30g, spaced, 5-6 wraps 0.85-1.0ohms. Only use temp control ;) My go-to, but your experience may vary :18:

The temp control on the V2 can be a bit finicky, but it does work well :2thumbsup:

Sounds good, do you make your own coils, I’m looking at coilogy ones and handmade by Scott- is there a real difference between ss and ni80? Just as there was a Mtl starter pack by Coilogy but Ni80 is sold out but SS isn’t, thanks!

Absolutely, I make my own coils :) A spool of wire is cheap as chips, and it takes 1-2 minutes at the most to spin one :2thumbsup:

There is a difference between ss and ni200 in regards to tc. Stainless steel has a quicker ramp up if I remember correctly and is the best metal suited for tc imo. Ni80 is not recommended for tc, and I don’t really ever use it, so no comment.

Any bridge for a dotaio is going to have a very small chamber, and will heat up very quickly. It is possible to fit a fused clapton or a mtl alien in there, but they really aren’t necessary. I’ve tried, always go back to round-wire :)

My advice is to try different things and see what you like, preferably start with round-wire so you have a good baseline :22:

no problem thank you, I’ve found some 0.9 ss316’s so I’ll order them with it- 2.5mm will be what I want right?

Hope you enjoy it, took me a couple of go's to get the wicking right.

Congrats, sure you’ll enjoy it :2thumbsup:

Those are good coils to start out with, it was exactly how I started tc vaping a couple of years ago. If you’re going to use them in tc mode, I would advise spacing them first ;)

I might go into temperature control at some point, I’m hoping to start with just wattage mode though and see how it goes- will these be okay to do that with?
