I might go into temperature control at some point, I’m hoping to start with just wattage mode though and see how it goes- will these be okay to do that with?
Yes, absolutely, stainless steel can be used in both wattage and tc modes ;)

Well done, indeed! Use BP Mods cotton myself, no complaints. Can’t comment on the CbS coils as I never vape nickel, but they are top quality afaik.

You’ll probably use a bit less cotton than the strand that says it’s for 2.5mm, at least I always have to use a bit less ;)

no problem thanks for the heads up! I’ll keep that in mind, good job I didn’t get the 3.0mm then! And yeah I just liked the idea of it that it’s already in the strand- it was one of the thing I think I struggled with last time was getting the right amount of cotton :)

Thanks for the help guys! Hopefully soon I’ll have my dotrba, god I hope I can get a build right

I've been using the dotaio v2 for about a approx 2 years. The dot rba gets slated but I found it to be great for tight through to loose mtl. Dotshell is also very good. You can pick up a clone from nature vape about £30.
I tried a few different brands stock coils a while ago for those times when I couldn't be bothered to wick a rebuildable. Tried voopoo, bp, gtx & dot.
The bp were better than the voopoo & the gtx. Then tried the dot v2 0.9ohm mesh coils. I was actually blown away. They were best out of the lot. Pretty close to the flavour of an rta tank.
All that aside the dot aio is probably the smallest 18650 aio on the market, is nice aesthetically, reliable & has plenty of coil/rebuildable options,
If the BP doesn't work out for you try a few other options. With a little experimentation you can get a solid vape out of this device.

Thanks @Mitch2471 , that’s interesting. Bp coils have always been pretty good, but I found the dotcoils to be rather meh :hmm: However, I haven’t tried the 0.9ohm coil since they don’t sell them here, and I never thought there was much of a point. I have two v2 tanks in a drawer somewhere, so I think I’ll pick up some 0.9ohms and try them :2thumbsup:

Can't say I've tried any other ohm dot v2 coils so I don't know if they are the same build quality wise. You would kind of expect them to be but in this day & age anything is possible.
The v1 dot coils were rubbish. If you do decide to give the 0.9's a go they are rated on the box at 12-14w. I found that they performed great at anything from 7-9w. I expect they can handle 12-14w but I would think you would burn them out a lot quicker that way.
