Help with M16 Mod

Does the atty screw down flush on the topcap when the topcap isn't attached to the mod?

Vern yes I have unlocked the firing screw at the bottom. Just attempted to push my pin down but the bottom bit does not move it just stays static.

well, check with greyhaze as their variant may differ.

mine got stuck once...I had the same atty on it day in and day out, and kept it on the mod (with tubes removed) to rebuild.
I took the atty off and had the same as you...went to a basin, hot water, let it soak 10 mins, then used a screwdriver to push it form one side, then back again, then push and so on..just work the sliding mechanism of the top pin

I later found out you could just bang the 510 connector and the whole thing pops out the bottom, making servicing much easier

your mod, may differ..but this is all good for the brass m16 from FT

the spring will be under the washer ( and most liekely a screw thread in middle of the washer ). can you take pics of both the firing button bit and the top section . but does indeed sound like its not making connection between top pi and atty.
if you still ahve no joy just drop them a msg on there online chat or pop em over an email

DSCF1329.jpgthis is what it looks like
in the spring unladen state, the 510 is as high as it can go...it can only be pushed DOWN against spring pressure

and the black washer, when fitted correctly back to the head, is flush

No problems, thanks for the tips - I will attempt this as soon as I get home from work!
Thanks again, I'll keep you updated.

if you view the bottom firing pin from the side, and push the switch, does the centre bit protrude above the insulating outer washer?
