Hi all

Ive received the attached nem clone from jason and he kindly pm'd me with info as to getting the monster up and running. Sadly ive become extremely frustrated and no matter what i connect where the batteries are either to long or to short!

All ive done is drool and clock watched til i got home.

Where am i going wrong?!

Thought it was easier to show it dismantled with the batteries etc so you can see what im trying to use.

Help me please :D

It looks like you've got the kick ring still on your 18500 section (the smaller of the two add on tubes). That'll cause all kinds of spacing issues with most batteries if you aren't using a fuse.

yep...kick ring gets every noob pepper....remove this from the tube its attached to...place to one side....then just use short etched tube for 18350....add the smaller extra tube for 18500 and then remove the above smaller tube and use the longer one for 18650....

attach your atty or whatever to the top cap first...unscrew the silver pin...tighten atty on,then screw top pin to it...place whichever tube on.,...place the battery size for that tube,..then screw on switch...easy peezy lemon squeezy :)

I don't have one of these but I imagine there is a pin that adjusts below the top cap - you unscrew it and it shortens the inner lenght of the tube, making the batteries tight.

It'll adjust from either the top or bottom cap.

Its just a battery tube - it can't be that difficult - the tube is designed to hold 18350, 18500 and 18650's.

The long tube on the right of your photo looks like its for 18350

The long tube plus the middle tube is probably for 18650 and the long tube plus the tube on the left for 18500.

If there is a really short bit of tube, say about 1cm long that's probaly for a kick - if you're not using a kick you don't need it.

Hope that helps?

That's my guess anyway - I'm sure you'll work it out

In the picture, a is actually 3 pieces. The kick ring, the 18500 extension tube, and the top cap (which b slots onto).

Since it looks like you use either 18650 or 18350, you only need the top cap part, and then b,d, e, and f for 18350. If using 18650 battery, add in part c.

I always thought the small tube was for a kick and the small "ring" was called a beauty ring? Used to help with various battery lengths and button tops?

I would just use the 18650 battery with longer tube plus top and bottom bit, the rest i wouldn't use, simple, no?

That's it in 18350, button bit, engraved bit and the top cap, in your pic the top cap needs to be unscrewed from the kick section I think
