There are plenty of vendors on our Marketplace and on the discount codes page, you should be able to pick up a basic Ego + CE4 kit for under £15 and juices for £4 or £5 per bottle, Going to a store would allow you to test juices before you buy but a basic tobacco flavour is usually a safe bet as is a basic menthol, Vanilla custard is a favourite and there are many available on line. There is a Vape shop called Flavour Vapour in Plymouth market, their hardware is a bit expensive but you can try juices there if you want...

I'm new here too but to keep the cost down while starting vaping you could do worse than one of these ego kits from paradise vape for £7.50 + £1.50 postage you get a battery, two clearomisers and a charger and you could always get some eliquid from there, its a bit expensive but saves having to pay another lot of postage on another order elsewhere. You've been smoking about the same time as I was, the same number of fags a day, and even the same brand!

If you are worried about the cost of buying ecigs, do what I did and consider the price in terms of what you currently pay per packet of cigs. So, say you pay forty quid or so for a pair of evods and some juice. That's 100 fags. Once you don't smoke them, you're starting to save money.

I use an app called Vapemate. That tells me that in the 75 days since I quit fags, I've saved about £600. I've spent a LOT less than that on vaping (less than a quarter, in fact)

You will also find that you can breathe easier, have more energy, and you'll sit there thinking about the sheer waste of money you've sent up in smoke over all those years!

The downside is that you'll want to buy nice shiny mods and strangely named juices!

All positive so far @Dingbat, so what juice should I buy to start with? I suppose just a tobacco one, what strength did you start with? you used the same blue pack as me so what would be a suitable, or even slightly weaker alternative?

Hi Qman 18mg would seem to be a reasonable starting point.

Vaping can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be. As has been said by other posters, best avoid the supermarket ecigs and either buy online or from a specialist shop. The advantage of buying from a shop is the chance to sample their wares and find a flavour you like.

I would certainly suggest starting off with some decent kit, yes it might cost somewhere between 25 and 35 quid to get you going but that's cheap for something that may well totally change your life around.

I started with a tobacco flavour (Dekang Flue-Smoked) but found it a bit rough. Since then, I've been using RY4, which has some tobacco flavour, and add a dash of menthol.

But I've also started to get away from the tobacco flavours and currently use apple or banana flavours. Going to try some snake oil this weekend to see if I like it.

Best advice is to try all the flavours you can until you find the one that suits you the best.

Another snippet. My wife still smokes and I've found that I have no problems sitting in the same room. Thanks to the ecig, I have no desire to take one of her fags, so no withdrawal problems.
