what everyone else has said buddy make sure the positive end of the battery is at the top and snug does the button click or does it just feel weak?

When I click the button 3 times I get no response. The display does not light up and the doesn't either

Try pressing the button 4-5 times, i had a spinner that needed more than 5 button presses.
Also suggest you do it slowly, you might be pressing quicker than the chip can handle.

What coil do you have on there as i dont think they fire on anything under 1.2ohm ?

I could be wrong but im sure i read somewhere dont go under 1.2 on a SVD
