When you insert the battery and tighten up the bottom tube does the button flash three times and the display show "888".

also even if sub ohms i would assume the unit would still switch on like the zmax but report low ohms or some other error, even without an atty connected the unit should still fire up.
i see the kit came with 2 batteries have you tried the second just in case the first is faulty.

It should look like this

Yes there is a spring but it is under the delrin insulator (the white bit)
Check your kit to make sure you haven't got any "bits" left over - if not then contact Ash at myepack as it may have missed Innokin's QA.
ps I recently received one from Ash and mine looks the same as the photo but cleaner

Edit: On looking at mine it's not exactly the same - mine has brass screw in the centre and the delrin is black

Mine doesn't look like that BKKKPewsey. If you look at my 2nd photo (should display now) it had a spring instead. That gold bit in the middle i have, but is loose. I have tried clicking it up to 10 times slow and fast but no joy. I have also tried both batteries - same result

Hi guys, thank you for all the help. Problem solved. breakbystealth came round my house and took a look. Sorry if i don't explain this well - The black ring that is in the the bottom cap that surrounds the spring was for some reason was inside the battery chamber. We took the black ring out and fitted around the spring in the bottom cap (i have uploaded a picture of the bottom cap). No all works fine so for me...............happy vaping.

@SlipperyKipper .... All fixed and working, next thing to do is to learn to rebuild the iclears. If anyone can point him to some good tutorials as i have never dont one, can they be rebuilt Ninjaassasin1983 have you done any of these before????

nah buddy unfortunately not I had an Iclear30 got it with my mvp but I'm not keen on top coilers as the vape is a bit warmer than I like it
I think they can be rebuilt here is a vid its in french but you get the idea
