How to reduce steep time

@zouzounaki I always do this since you mentioned it, it definitely works. Just don’t forget to add vg/pg before you vape it folks

@zouzounaki is on the money [emoji4] we tested the theory and had magic results and the last time we was told this was bullshit by a forum member or two we asked them to try it and @dahut took up the challenge and posted his results which confirmed it worked so I say if your in any doubt don't post on a thread thinking your way is the only way and go test our theory before you call it bullshit

Do we have an official name for “our” theory ?

@memzey mixing the flavours and nic first works best with 72mg. But if you are making 3mg liquid,
steeping the flavours with the nic shots before adding the vg and pg should still be faster. Basically the stronger the nic, the faster it steeps. This technique works best with long steepers like custard etc.
Thanks @zouzounaki. I only have the little nic shot bottles at the moment (10ml x 18mg) but note that everything liquid do sell 72mg so might pick some of that up once I’ve finished my current batch. My nic is also vg based as opposed to pg. does that make a difference as well?

Think of your recipe. Mix the concentrates and the 72mg. Just leave that aside for a week before you too it up with vg and pg. There’s nothing easier.
Help

I'm still confused at your theory about this. By mixing the flavour concentrate in 72mg nic and leaving that to steep will make it steep quicker. Fair enough. But then diluting that mix with pg and vg at a later stage will still need to be steeped yes? My big question is, what percentage of flavour concentrate do you add to the 72mg nic. When you then add the pg and vg to our mix to achieve ur desired strength, you will be diluting the flavour.

You are over thinking it @Richard Winter . Add the concentrates and 72mg that your recipe requires. leave it a week or two. Add the vg and pg your recipe requires. Give it a stir, and you are all set.

It will still steep faster whether it’s vg or pg nic but i think from my experience that vg nic steeps faster than pg.

Thanks @zouzounaki , I understand what you meant now. Have read it with fresh eyes.
Forgive me for asking another question tho. This method of steeping indicates that steeping is only needed for the flavour concentrate and nic. Surely the combined flavour and nic will also have to be steeped in the pg and vg.

No, I believe only freebase nic causes what we describe as steeping. Vg and pg just need a wee stir.
