received this today despite the snow. purchased with my own money from esmokeuk.

don't do reviews tbh but felt compelled to give a mention to this little thing. as someone who's only gotten into the world of rebuildables recently, I was interested to see how easy this was to set up. it is a doddle.

much less fiddle than the Phoenix SS thanks to the shallow, but wide base meaning the posts protrude high above the rim of the well.

it's got an o-ring seal rather than threads so you can adjust the position of the air hole to suit. produces plenty of vapour. the flavour is slightly muted compared to the Phoenix but I'm not using a massively flavourful juice at the moment as I fancied a sweet vape this morning and it doesn't pack a big punch. I'm going to try some GVC and some other fruity, more punchy liquids today. throat hit is good, but not too harsh. I don't like too much so that suits.

thanks to its wider diameter it looks great on the wider mods. I've got it on my vamo and it looks the dogs.

the big thing I've noticed is the noise. or lack thereof. it's absolutely silent. to the point where the only way I know it's working is the taste/throat hit/vapour. there's no noise at all. amazing.

love this little thing. it's rendered my Phoenix pretty much useless. for a tenner, you can't really go wrong.

great service from Dave at esmokeuk also. thanks!

Yep! The noise is very minimal on mine as well too! I keep thinking the wick is flooded, but it works every time!

Nice review, thanks. I love mine too and like you think it looks great on the Vamo :)
The only down side for me is the top cap slides off the O rings a little too easily, something that seems to have been improved with the black O rings version. No biggy though as it otherwise works a treat!

It can slide easily, but that is the only downside, I reckon, once the wick gets a bit more set in, the flavour hit increases too.

yeah mine must have new rings on it as the top is well locked on. takes a nice solid tug/push to get it on and off.

should point out some other specifics tbf:

• it's all SS as the name suggests
• fixed centre post
• double o-ring seal
• screw-pinch wire trapping
• 20mm diameter

in the packet:

• base
• top cap
• two o-rings installed
• 2 spare o-rings
• 1 spare screw
• about 4cm of what looks like 2mm wick
• about 5cm of around .20 res wire

should really also give a shout out to Todd for his video review on this little beauty, and for his always thorough vids on coiling. every video, despite stating that "we've all seen a coil before", he still goes through it for us each time. which I think is great for newbies as you don't have to trawl through videos to find an example.

and also a thank you to KulrMeStoopid and a couple of other forummers here who posted pics of this and recommended it to me.

here's some more pics (sorry about the quality as my camera doesn't have a macro or close up function).

Thought I would post my wick and coil.

Since I have super fat fingers, I wrapped the excess wick around and tucked all ends under the coil. I find this helps absorb more juice, better flow to the coil and no dry hits. Less dripping too.

This is the coil and wick I made the day I got it which I think was nearly 7 days ago!

So that's the secret. Wick tucked under the coil. Simple but effective

yep it works really well like that lots of vapour, no sputtering and you jus drip down the side and the juice is absorbed into the wick :)
