Alright, so I was looking at my headphones (bare with me here) and I was looking at where the wire splits off into the different sides of the headphones and got to thinking, could one split their wire down the middle and thread their cotton through it to make a coil with inlaid cotton. If so how would one go about splitting it??
I'm thinking split the middle of it and leave each end unsplit so it looks like that happens when you pinch 2 ends of a rubber band and the middle opens while the ends stay closed.

Just an idea while I'm sitting in English class.

Sure you could just use 2 lengths of wire and make a braid, weave some cotton in there, only problem is that cottons going to be squeezed pretty tight between those 2 wires and probably won't wick unless the whole thing is submerged in e-liquid, might work for a cartomizer but not for a rebuildable.

What about a parallel coil with one of the wires being 1mm silica? Would this have the desired effect?

OK..............I've tried this, just mucking around when I was bored. It didn't work as it couldn't be done by hand and everything went to pieces when I tried it on a drill.

I think with much longer lengths and more attention to the thickness of the wick and wire it could be achieved, but my counselor has advised against it..............

I was just bored in class and got to running my mind on coils as I often do. Just looking for something new. Not that I feel like it would fire well, but it was a though nonetheless haha thank you all for your thoughts and comments. [x
