Is my SX mini G class faulty or am I doing something wrong?

So yesterday I purchased the Yihi SX Mini G class I have wanted this mod for some time and for a regulated device it is not that cheap but I am having trouble accessing the menu if I lock the device I can not get it back to the menu it just keeps showing the padlock but if I take the batteries out and put back in as it boots I can get the menu up but a slight wrong press and it's locked again.
I have watched videos read a few guides I'm doing everything right I don't think the button is faulty I thought maybe it was the firmware I updated but nothing has changed, what is your insight ?

3 clicks to lock. When locked 3 clicks and press down on joystick to unlock

Once I had been through the menu to set up a few things, the only thing I use it for is to turn off completely.

Another useful one is in TC hold joystick down for 5 secs to set coil ohm setting, TC will not work otherwise.

As mentioned, hold joystick down after the clicks.

After many issues with various mods I now own several G class mods and a few Therions. No issues with any of them.

I fancy a Vanguard with the Yhi chip but can't find a UK stockist

Yes the tapping down worked I couldn't see about tapping down on purchase but after playing round with this for the past 12 or so hours I'm loving this mod it's so well built and my kylin just looks beautiful on it.

Ok so I finally saved enough to purchase the G Class and it’s gorgeous! It’s the black with gold Fire button and joystick.

I’m having issues also with unlocking it. Three clicks on the fire button then pressing down (not pressing in) but still stays I lock mode. I’m a bit frustrated at this point. This isn’t my 1st Yihi. I have a Q Class and several SL models so I’m not new to Yihi but this has me flummoxed.

I believe it’s on the latest firmware. It says v8.1 when in press the fire button when inserting the batteries.

Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thanks.
