Hello Hombres & Hombrettes,
I've got a couple of Mech Mods on order from FastTech which gives me some time to do my safety research before they arrive. I'd just like to check my calculations with someone please?

My question is...

If I'm using this battery..

I've put the amps and voltage into my ohms law calculator I get this reading

Is the calculator indicating I will get 120watts at full charge and I shouldn't build lower than 0.14 ohms?

PS I wouldn't build anywhere near the safety limit and would always leave lots of margin for error x

Yes but it won't account for voltage drop. In the real world you'll be getting less than the indicated 126w.

@tommywho5150 thanks for confirming. By voltage drop do you mean as the battery loses charge? Cheers.
It's basically voltage lost withing the circuit. It varies from mech to mech and can depend on things like what the mod is made from, how clean the threads and contacts are and the condition/age of your battery.

You'll get a far larger voltage drop off a fast tech mech. Thir no the best made and not the best or thickest of metals used. Especially if your going that low a build.
As Tommy says you are very unlikely tae get even near 100 watts but it is ALWAYS a good idea to work out the amp draw of the build!!

Hi Embra
The plan is to use dual 1.0 coils to get a 0.5 build. Test the water with the Fastech clones then get a proper bit of quality kit if I like the Mech experience.
These are the clones I got BTW.

I appreciate your advice on quality. I Defo need to bare that in mind when deciding on whether I like the Mech experience

Make sure you strip down and scrub every part and ALL the threads on them when they arrive. Some metal Polish and contact cleaner is a good investment!
Coil wise, you going to be using steel or Nichrome??

Not sure yet. I've seen a couple of people suggest that steel is safer so if a little more research proves that right I'll probably go with it.

Could I use an ultrasonic cleaner? I've got one of those.
