Hopefully this is the correct sub-forum, sorry if not.

I got fed up with the stock iSub coils only lasting between 2 days and a week at most. So I've had a go at rewicking which I've never tried before. I bought some Japanese organic cotton pads and tried the normal method of just cutting some cotton off, rolling it up, inserting it and wrapping it back round the coil. The flavour was good, even at a high wattage. However I was getting major gurgling and some leaking with that so (with a different coil) I tried the Scottish Roll method (it's on YouTube) with the cotton. The gurgling wasn't so bad with this but it's still there and the leaking is worse.

Any idea what I could be doing wrong? It's like too much juice is getting to the coil or something.

OK I had a third go and this time it seems to be much better, I think the issue was that I was pulling the cotton too far back into the coil's chamber and so it wasn't covering the holes at the sides properly.

Aye, just keep fiddling with it until it works out.
Were there any youtube videos on how to do it??
Yeah but the YouTube videos I watched all made a point about making sure you wrap the cotton back round the coil... But didn't mention making sure the holes are covered properly too! I know it's a bit obvious but it wasn't when I'd never done it before :)

I am using the standard 0.5 coils and am finding that they can go quite quickly. I m not sure if it is a combination of the type of juice (Beard 32, 0.6mg) which is quite sweet and my newbie vaping manner. I do tend to want to gulp it down, probably to get the nicotine hit having just kicked the old habit.

I have had a stab at rewicking, with mixed results. Trial and error I guess. I have been buying replacements off of Amazon with verification stickers, but wondered if it was common for these not to be genuine? Is it more advisable not to buy from a reputable established vendor?
