What's new

Lancashire Radio, TW and the BMA

Personally I'd like to see Dr Mark Temple charged with ...
[h=3]Administering poison or noxious thing thereby endangering life or inflicting grievous bodily harm, contrary to section 23 Offences against the Person Act 1861[/h]Misconduct in public office

and if it can be arranged - Multiple contraventions of the Being Bloody Stupid Act...

On the scale of miserable, whining, joy-sucking bastards, Mark Temple takes the biscuit. His biscuit being a smidgen of rice paper dunked in a cup of grey, tepid water.

They are as backwards now as they were a year ago when they raised the public health consultation paper which was just one of those 'seen to be doing it' things but really they couldn't give a shit what their public think unless they care about it themselves or it's in line with their grand plan.

Mark Drakeford (Public health minister) is the glove puppet who pretends to act only on behalf of instruction !

Well done Fraser Cropper.

At the risk of reopening old wounds, I find myself warming to the guy and think he's a much better front man for TW than JC.

As for the BMA arsehole, he's obviously a product of a narrow minded ideology, embittered because his organisation has had NOTHING positive to offer in a consumer lead revolution that has brought about the biggest leap in tobacco harm reduction EVER seen.

In fact, his organisation has tried feverishly to block progress and spread fear/disinformation, seemingly at every possible opportunity.

I don't know if it's arrogance, fear of not being in control and being knocked off the lofty heights of the moral high ground, or if it's just plain old sour grapes/jealousy to blame, but the BMA is rapidly forging an image for itself of being a collection of sad, sorry, out of touch, narrow minded, pathetic excuses for health professionals.

I hope in years to come, people like the BMA guy in this interview look back in shame and cringe at how blindly bigoted they've been.

I guess that if you deal with cancer on a daily basis, with a number still unable to quit fags even after diagnosis, it probably colours your understanding of the chemical that has been historically linked with the addiction.

Given the cut backs in time available for them to research I don't blame them for the opinions GPs hold. They are simply going to take the line the BMA give them for the sake of convenience.

Lovely weather ... vaping in the garden again ... another big cloud wafting through the petunias ... I don't seem to be killing off any plants yet ... maybe I'll try subohming next to this dandelion ... I'm doing my bit, it's all in the interests of science you understand, somebody has to support the BMA ... ;)
