LG HG2, HE4 and HE2 - End of the road.

So for the end user...

Which 18650 would be the recommended go to now?

Hmm, it was someone from Basen who gleefully posted first messages on social media about the LG warnings ...

Ben - you should still be able to get hold of the LGs not affected (weirdly, the high Amp batteries!) ... ?

I can still get the high amp ones :) I've emailed a couple of wholesalers across the pond to see if they've heard anything. Waiting hear back from Jon @ liionwholesale

Erm Ben....Go watch Suckmymod's vlog from today. He briefly mentions the whole LG debacle,(not Samsung though), and in the same breath insinuates that the likes of Ohmtech will still be able to get the cells out of LG then re wrap. Admittedly he does also say that he's not sure and will research more before he says anything else.

This is interesting in the sense that if dedicated battery suppliers were willing to take the cells on the onus they would re wrap as their own then they'd still be available.

And you already make the Wraps. I'm just kinda thinking out loud here....but you're a dedicated vaping battery supplier- a respected one at that. Surely you'd be the type of customer they're after?

Hmm, that's interesting. I don't mind accepting liability I'll try and get in contact - they can only say no I guess!

The way I see it is this: As a general rule of thumb I don't like or want re Wraps.

But, and it's a big but, if the person and/or company is someone who I'm sure as sure can be is trustworthy and won't over state ratings to sell more units in favour of being honest, relying on a good overall service, then it'd sit a lot better with me. Others too I reckon.
Possibly worth a punt- insurance cover your end dependant of course.
