Lockdown Extension

You'd think that that they'd need to review and make that announcement before then wouldn't you?
Hmm, possibly, but this is the government isn't it.
I thought the announcement of the lockdown was done wrong. Coming on the tv and saying as of now etc etc. What if people weren't watching the tv and whatnot. Should have foreseen it and announced it on Saturday and said as of Monday.....
Hindsight isn't it......

Im getting sick of it, all my usual walks out with the dog are busy, though folks I see are following social distancing advice, but the bastards are everywhere, the sooner they are all back at work the better and I can have the whole world to myself again.

It's a given it's going to be extended. They get all the data as a constant feed & until the number of infected starts to drop then they'll review it. Going on other nations get used to this for at least 8 weeks & they'll likely want a sustained drop in the infection rate & they can start a slow return to some normality.

Also, or is it me, but it seems there are more bloody cyclists on the road.

It is a given however I feel like an unscrupulous company could take advantage of the ambiguity at the end of the 3 weeks and try to open however briefly.

My crystal ball says of course the lockdown will be extended till at least the end of the month.

How much the rules change will depend on the numbers.
If the numbers are showing we are past the peak there will be few extra restrictions. If it is not clear and the numbers are big then tighter controls will be on the cards.

By the end of April the government will have to start thinking about how they get more folk back to work, though social distancing and various other restrictions will remain for the rest of the year.

To be fair that could happen anytime. Pubs were still being caught serving last week.

What !!! But it hasn't stopped rising yet so it hasn't peaked and dropped off yet.
If you use the figures published by the press, possibly. But official figures are so unreliable as to be close to fiction. The infection rate in the UK is massively higher than Johnson's gov will admit. There's a whole thread about it on here.
It's either incompetence or misinformation. Neither is good for this country.
