Magma clone shorting out

Got the atty today, slapped a 28g micro coil in it that read 1.8 ohms and it was vaping like a champ, better than anything ive tried actually.

But this only lasted about 3 mins. Then my Istick read "atomiser short".

So I took the coil out an dput in another one, still "atomiser short" and it says that when there is no coil in it also.

Any Ideas?

510 insulator damaged seems likely if it shorts without coil orpos and neg of 510 are too flush

You sure the 510 pin is making a good connection with your box mod?

Sounds like it's not connecting and therefore the box is reading it as a short.

Can you raise the pin in the mod or adjust the pin in the magma?

I'm pretty sure it's connecting. If there is not connection it reads "no atomiser"

But I just raised the pin in the Istick a bit anyway and still the same.

My silo lite works fine inthe istick still.

I am purely a mech man so no idea about boxes but what Mr.m says sounds reasonable

In that case make sure your post screws are tightened right down.

Check your coil leads to make sure they are not touching the deck, same for your coil.

If still no luck then sounds like the insulator is knackered and you will need to replace it or get a new magma

Do not fire on a mech if you suspect it is shorting!

Thanks for the help buddy. Where is the insulator, which part is that?

edit: it's the white plasic washer hugging the 510 pin right? I've taken it apart completely and nothing seems melted or out of the ordinary. Pretty sure this isn't my fault, Gonna see if i can get it replaced by vendor.

What Mr M said to you is what I would suspect
