I do have sympathy for him, however I will lay odds that this was not caused by a fault with the device itself but rather by user error.

I also take issue with the sensationalist "Legs blown off" headline.
It is true that he sustained a serious and potentially life threatening injury but saying he nearly had his legs blown off is over playing it to make a good sensationalist headline, as usual.

Pretty much every case of injury or fire I have come across has been a result of user error and inexperienced users with full mechanical mods are always going to be at higher risk than the majority.


How many laptop, phone, tablet etc. battery fires have there been this year I wonder, they don`t seem to grab headlines for some reason.

The vendor is full of bollocks as well, if the device was properly vented it should never have exploded unless extremely unsafe batteries were used. Back on ciggies, it's safest. Fuck off.

That said I hope he gets better soon.
