I take exception at someone saying my friend is talking bullocks.

The mod is vented as I have the same mod from the same batch.

Venting cells swell. So a cell positive pointing at the centre pin of the mod in any mod with switch or switch end venting WILL NOT VENT.

Hence why my cells vents point where the mods vents are.

Next. It more than likely was user error. Either buying fake cells cheap from ebay (thinks its an imr, its actually a wrapped icr etc), not checking build resistance, using a charger that over charges cells (how many of you check that) he's certainly over discharged cells.

The dripper is odd, he almost exclusively uses kayfuns.

You also need to bare in mind this is an article written by some complete and total fuckwit. They must be as the write for the fucking scum (remember how nice those twats were about Hillsborough? ).

So they didn't mention they were invited to the shop to get a full explanation on cell safety, mechs, ohms law, rebuildables, along with meeting a few vapers.

The reporter doesn't even fucking smoke or vape.

If the poor chap in question is on a vape forum then perhaps some actual facts might emerge and eventually filter through but I certainly wouldn't take anything printed in the Sun at face value.

We all know these devices can be dangerous and that the MSM can be full of bollocks but it's quite possible the device was faulty or being incorrectly used not allowing the batteries to vent safely or any of the other issues that can occur with a mech.

If that was the only statement the shop had for the press than that's poor form, if they gave a far more detailed statement then they should be seeking redress up to and including the PCC.

I don't know if your friend is the gentleman who was injured or the vendor as you didn't make that clear.

What we have to take away from this horrible incident is the headline screams Deadly ecig explosion and smoking is safer than vaping.
