Lol. Yes. I see you brave hearts pointing out the cigs part of my OP, let me hold your hand while I explain the current situation.

Yes, cigarettes are killing people as we speak BUT they're not turning up clusters of people in the same place with the same issue at the same time. That looks like somewhere, someone has spiked something. Since these juices reaches around the globe it'd be a matter of time before it starts popping the lungs of users around the globe, IF it is the regular carts and liquids causing this.

The point of it was that, I'd be dodging that bullet if it was contaminated liquid that might end up in my tank if I smoked cigs and kind of put my death off for a later stage.

It's not about being "brave hearts", you were the one who suggested you might be scared enough by unsubstantiated media headlines to go back to smoking instead.

My comparison based on that was perfectly valid - you mention clusters of people being affected and that you consider it a big enough risk to stop you using vape gear.

My point was that the media doesn't get the same clickbait headlines by reporting the 'clusters' of smokers going into every single hospital in the world every single day.

There is absolutely no suggestion that it's the regular cartridges and juices that are the problem, there's no hand holding required.

As for being dicks, what was it exactly that you were hoping to see? Did you want all of us to go "oh bugger, you're right, better dump the vape and go get some fags right quick"?

The deaths and illness from smoking is well documented though? The stats he has shown are not new stats pulled out of a hat?

You could always make your own juice - that way you'd know exactly what goes in it? Many do.

It IS way cheaper. There's lots of good info on here if you want to go that way.

I have made some, but I also vape bought juice from well tried and trusted vendors on here. This place is a mine of good information.

The stats I used weren't "from the media" - the media doesn't care. It's old news, everybody knows, it won't sell papers or views.

I obtained the figures from places like the CDC, the NHS, ASH, cancer research UK, PHE, the RCP, etc.

The only figure I used that came from "the media" was the one about there being ~250 cases in this latest scare story, so imo that's the one that's least trustworthy.

Yes it's cheaper.

But if you're worried about these things being caused by legit pods and juice then it's not going to be a major improvement.

You still have to buy VG, PG, nicotine juice and flavourings if required - the official juice manufacturers have to get their ingredients from somewhere too, very likely the same supply chain.

So, you're skipping one link in the chain (juice mixers) and introducing a different link (repackers and resellers).

Sure, you can control which ingredients go into your juice, but you can't control what goes into those ingredients...

my mum keeps sending me links on twitter about the dangers of vaping. some quack in America. my dad died of throat cancer and my grandma of copd. smoking killed them.I know they we be proud of me for not smoking the cigarettes. also the nhs are going to have vape shops on their grounds.(two are planned) how dangerous can vaping be if they are going to do that?
