After the program "rise of the ecig" a lot of folks are going to be screaming from the roof tops "Ban them, Ban them" We all know there are risks in using e cigs and e liquids as we are never 100% sure of their exact ingredients . We know that oils are not a good idea to vape ( or at least I did ) I studied about ecigs and read a lot of stuff about them before I finally decided to try one. There are always unknown factors in any new product or trend, be them good or bad we have the choice to either use them or not use them. Lately it is getting more main stream knowledge and legislations are trying to be passed every where to have them banned , regulated and god knows what else. Once they are declared a tobacco product it will be game over. The worlds governments are trying to impose their heavy hand and we all know why. Yet on my old pack of ciggies it clearly stated "Smoking Kills" no it might be harmful no it might be safe it might not no it says "smoking Kills" and yet the government do not ban them. Tax LOL...
If all this madness continues I can already hear the death toll for ecig users, and where will we be, at least sixty percent back to smoking ciggies..Tax LOL I read on the internet all the time about a woman here or a man there that sneezed in the wrong way and it was because of the ecig they were using, An unusual prolonged chest infection that will be the ecig. Well folks I have had constant chest infections and colds and coughs for years.. As a smoker of ciggies.. It seems as if one person gets ill or has a reaction its the ecig industries fault. And its spread over the internet within seconds to add more bullets to the gun.
Here is a strange story for you, my wife is from the Czech Republic we go over there with our two kids twice a year in 2012 I went there and when I went to the bar that night there was no spirits for sale AT ALL just beer, all spirits had been banned for up to two months, all existing spirits was being destroyed at a cost of three million gbp. Why Methanol laced vodka and rum 19 dead 24 hospitalized of those 24 I have learnt 15 are blind for life and 3 are in vegetative states. I came home to blackpool and all my friends and people at work asked how's it was I said terrible and told them why. Not one of them had heard about it or seen anything on the news about it. . . And I work for spirit group a large chain of public houses. And they hadn.t heard about it. Now one person has a bad reaction to eliquid and ecigs and the world knows it three minutes... And by the way over 20 of these people were not drinking illegal alcohol they were in bars and clubs that had been sold some which is why all spirits were banned as no one knew which were legit and which were blackmarket

I shall paste a link to the Czech incident and copy a portion of the text http://www.savethespirits.com/pages/2012/09/methanol-laced-vodka-rum-kill-19-in-czech-republic/

[h=2]Methanol-laced vodka, rum kill 19 in Czech Republic[/h] PRAGUE (AP) — The Czech Republic announced emergency measures Wednesday to combat a wave of alcohol poisoning, saying that 19 people have died and 24 have been hospitalized after drinking vodka and rum laced with methanol.
Methanol is mainly used for industrial purposes but since it’s cheap and impossible to distinguish from real drinking alcohol criminals sometimes stretch black market alcohol with it to guarantee high profits.
Prime Minister Petr Necas urged all Czechs to refrain from drinking “any alcohol whose origin is uncertain” but authorities still feared the death toll will rise.
Of the 16 people confirmed dead in the Czech Republic, eight lived in country’s depressed northeast; two others died in neighboring Poland and one more in Slovakia, police said. Some of the victims have been blinded. Others have been induced into comas in the hope that doctors can save them.
Senior police official Vaclav Kucera said all the cases so far are likely connected and two suspects have been arrested, one in the eastern city of Zlin and another in the northeastern city of Havirov.

Police have raided over 400 kiosks and markets nationwide and found that about 70 of them were selling illegal alcohol.
Igor Dvoracek, a doctor in the eastern city of Ostrava, said autopsies might be done on about 150 other people who have died in recent weeks to see if they were also victims.

I think at the end of the day as far as world governments and organisations are concerned it's all about money. Because ecigs haven't been proven 100% to be 100% safe there is some room for embarrassment if something unsafe does rise to the surface, and then billions will be lost worldwide, as all kinds of compensations for so called damages are claimed. Big tobacco companies as well as big pharmaceutical companies all want a hand in the rising dosh spent on ecigs as it becomes more and more of an industry, all under the pretense that it may be harmful, without knowing for fact that it is. Worldwide governments realize that it is an up and coming marketing accelerator, and want, above the more important need of the individual, a massive claw in the ever growing pie. Greed and money, as always.

Interesting. I'm wondering what the next eCig meme will be. Will it be pro or con? Most meme's are supported by fear tactics, but if you follow the money, then we may find some truth behind all of the sabor rattling.
