Hi, first I want to make clear I was very happy with the vendor myepack.com- Excellent service, I ordered slightly after the deadline stated on their website but received the next day regardless, superb service :)

The question is regarding the authenticity/safety of the Sony VTC4's that I ordered, not questioning the vendors integrity, or anything like that. I've just seen a lot of warnings about these batteries ( that I should have caught before), saying that sony stopped making them etc.. Has anyone bought these batteries from this website recently, any problems? Not an area I want to take a chance with , Thanks

Myepack are a good company. I would trust them that they are genuine sony batteries

Anything I've seen has been on the vtc5s. They where made for device specific use/sale. Vtc4s should be fine as long as they're from a reputable seller. :)

That's the VTC5's you've been hearing about. VTC4's are still available and Myepack are a well known and trusted vendor with a solid reputation for safety and reliability

I have noticed though that myepack still sell VTC5's too. Are these likely to be genuine? How would one know?

I thought Ash had stopped selling them, however there are some still available and they may be old stock. It could even be that there is still a source of VTC5's as they are made for OEM use only, someone may be over ordering from Sony, wrapping them and making a profit selling them on to Vape shops. In this instance I'm afraid we just have to rely on the integrity of the vendor - He has a lot to lose if he's found to be knowingly selling dodgy batteries and as Ash is well known for his customer service it's unlikely he's risking it all for a few pounds worth of battery sales - I'd avoid them
If it was some guy on E-Bay (Other than Torchy) or down the local market selling them though...

Cool, thank you-that's good to know:) Feel comfortable putting them to charge now.

Myepack are 100% trustworthy.... I was lucky enough to get some sony vtc5's from them a while ago, am i worried? Not at all as i know that what i got from them was the real thing [emoji106]

So thought I should update this thread - After two months of continuous usage (in rotation with a pair of samsung 25R batteries), there has been a lot of damage to the sony batteries. I'm not saying that they are fake, but I have been just as careful with the sony batteries as I have with the samsung ones. There were no problems, in terms of the batteries holding charge- but I won't be buying sony batteries again. Would be interested to know if anyone has had a similar experience with them.
