I am slowly getting fed up with the EVOD. My fake one works perfectly. But I can't find replacement heads for it. The "proper" Kanger ones are just really annoying. I forgot to take my fake tank with me to work today and am using one of my proper ones, and I have had coild flooding twice already. The draw is getting tighter, vape production is dropping and eventually I get a squirt of juice in my mouth (isn't too bad as I am on menthol today and it tastes quite nice, but still...)

I can fix it, by shaking it out upside down like a fever thermometer, but I lose quite a bit of juice each time I do it. I am running low on juice, so not what I want. I was so going to order a mini-pro-tank this month (hence not having much juice left, I am going to make a combined order to save on p&p), but the EVOD issues are totally turning me off. I am not even sure if I should order replacement heads, I wasted £8 last month on buying replacement heads for my joyectech cartdridges, which I never use now.... although may just use them today... that desperate...

Anyway, I was thinking of possibly ordering one of these instead:

But there is a note underneath, that they are not recommended for the standard eGo 650mAh battery, which is what I have.
What would happen if I do use them with this battery? And if it is really not a good idea, what battery would be good for it?

My idea really is to try a couple of different tanks, until I find one I am happy with and then order replacement heads...

Battery maybe next month - I have only just started vaping, so I am slowly building up stock of things (like juice, stuff for DIY juice making, tanks, coils, heads, wicks...), so I am trying to figure out what I need each month from what I want each month... I am failing.... but trying...

Battery running out quicker isn't much of an issue, if that is the only problem, I have 3 of the eGos and have them all charged most of the time. that should get me to work and back...

I found those particular shaped Aspire tanks to be a little prone to leaking. The CE5 shaped ones I found were much better.

1.8ohms on a fixed voltage eGo gives you 7.6watts the 2.1ohm heads get you to about 6.5watts - the stated resistance on any heads can vary +/- 0.2ohms ish so it might end up a little more or a little less than that in practice.

1.8ohms is 1.8ohms it shouldn't make a difference how many coils are in there to the amp draw on the battery.

VaperCaper - you lost me... :) but my order with you is coming also (hence me not being able to afford new batteries as well;) )

I bought an Aspire BCD mini nova last week and can honestly say its a great tank. No problems at all. I was previously using a Protank 2 and had contstant problems with airflow and flooding but this is a vast improvement.

Just a quickie. Most of the bottom coil tanks evods protanks etc. work on air pressure. It could be that you are drawing on them to hard, which in turn will draw more juice through the wick. Give it a go at softer draws, as in suck gently. If it starts to get a burnt taste then a tad harder on the draw.

The fake one with the short chimney works fine...and the wick in that one looks better as well. Which is unexpected. But gives me the push to upgrade to glass...

I'm a huge fan of the bdc aspires, and use them all the time on 650's when in work with no problems. I don't vape much at work but a 650 gets me through the day, with a back up for the way home.
i do use the ce5 like ones, and I put any and all juices through them.I have found that I get about 2-3 months out of each tank.( I change heads about once a week/ 10 days.) After that the tank sometimes comes away from the base, but like I say I do run known tank crackers through them frequently.... For the price I can live with buying a new clearo if I get that length of time out of each one.
