i saw this and just spat shit everywhere . couldnt believe my eyes.
was only a matter of time mind.
im not linking it or anything as its easy enough to find i guess.

the reason is not so everyone can run out and buy one.

there is 2 points of interest i have.

1. the button has "by amomixani" engrave on it , with the steam machine logo.

surely this is like completely illegal is atmomixani would have some for of copyright , if not on the tube design , at the very least their own brand name and logo right?

2. i want the button for my nemesis :(

whats a buttom? is that like a bottom button buttom? :-)
they also added a nimbus (better one), but refrained from calling it a nimbus. logoed etc.. #1447805

so they have. and ive edited my bummom , nobody has to know... :P

bah its a funny one , see if you get caught selling snide footy tops on a market , youll gt arrested for selling counterfit goods , why arnt they seen in the same light , when its using branding ?

you probably know the answer, its china, they really dont care. Why should they? its "our" laws...and they dont have to respect our laws.

Now, as much as people are tempted to maybe import a bunch of this en masse and sell it here, that'll be the point when our laws apply.

what is interesting, is search fasttech for arduino stuff. and read the descriptions. They did listen to somebody.

i just figured if it comes through the borders it would then also come under the same trade laws.

and i like what they did on the arduino stuff , if im getting your point correctly , theyve added the word compatible :P

yes if it comes through customs, and they check, and have concerns, I'm sure it could be prevented from entering.
Same like dodgy nikes, although I think in reality they would be more concerned about containers than a bit of post addressed to "mr darth vaper"

re: arduino, the items show this in the product listings

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q1. Why are these called "Arduino Compatible"?
A1. The Arduino group demanded us to remove their logos and rename these products so that they do not lead customers to believe they are the same units sold by Arduino.

Q2. Are these 100% compatible with the "normal" Arduino's?
A2. Yes, they really are completely compatible with "normal" Arduino's. Build quality looks the same and everything (studio, library, tools, etc) just works. Just read the reviews

Q3. Are these actually original Arduino's, then?
A3. We can only officially answer we don't know.

Q4. What if I'm still concerned about the missing logos and about this being named as "Arduino Compatible"?
A4. If still in doubt, please buy from Arduino's official dealer channels. Yes they are more expensive, but if you're still worried we'd rather not take your order. We use these internally ourselves for various electronic projects and find them to be 100% decent (again, check reviews). That said, we do not make these and we are providing all the information we know. Don't kill the messenger.

:protest: OMG (as the yoof say)..
I'm flabbergasted, Im looking at the Nemesis ( a real one at the moment). Being a tight fisted Yorkshireman there's a bit of me saying buy the FT one... But I won't .

i have to say though I suspect that the pics might be lifted from somewhere else but who knows...

it looks 99%..so the pics arent of a genuine.
the adjustable center pin differs. you can sort of see the middle bolt piece, whereas on the real one it is totally flat. so this clone does exist
if it looks like the pics once it arrives, it'll be a good day indeed
