Hey guys, first time user here and new to all this vaping lark so please be gentle :)

Last week I finally tried vaping and managed to move from the death sticks after 24 years of 15/20 a day since I was 14 years old! I'm going to be honest and say the only reason I moved was because of the rising cost of cigarettes now,my fav brand has risen to nearly £10 a pack but after nearly a week of vaping I feel better health wise already so that's a nice bonus. I'm still and will probably always be a nicotine addict though.

I bought a Halo tank 02 mtl kit and I'm really pleased with it,figured a proper vape mod tank thingy is too risky for a newbie. My dad bought a cheaper ecig kit which was terrible and after trying it a few months ago put me off so I'm glad I gave the halo kit a chance, great vapour, nicotine and throat hit while using Halos own brand liquid which is 50/50 18ml (£3.99 per 10ml) which is great but I'm looking for something with a bit more value though I'm aware that's already quite cheap.

I've tried Oh My God UK e-liquid,again at 50/50 18ml (£8.99 for 50ml) but I don't seem to get the same nicotine rush as the Halo brand and the liquid doesn't seem to last as long with needing to vape it more, but then this might be in my head as I'm hardly an expert. Has anybody else tried Oh My Gods range at all? The flavouring does seem to be a little inconsistent.

My question is are the "budget" e-liquids really that lower in quality with only really being a few ingredients? Or is is worth paying more for a better brand.

I would have loved to get into DIY liquids but I really suck at maths (this was due to my maths teacher at school being so damn horny and distracting me in the lessons) and wouldn't want to blow my head off.

Could anybody recommend a decent value 50/50 liquid at 18mg or maybe higher that doesn't taste like sewage and gives a good nicotine hit?

Sorry for all the questions, still getting my head around it all.

In my experience price is rarely reflected in taste/quality, there's relatively expensive brands I love and cheaper liquids I like too.

check out the list in my link below, all the brands there are available up to 18mg and a lot of 50/50

Have a look here, as the name says, £1 a bottle.......

https://www.onepoundeliquid.com/

Thanks for that,I found that site on a search before but figured £1 a bottle was too good to be true,Ill give them a try though. For me its nicotine first and foremost,Im just wondering if the cheaper ones have less quality control and more room for error.

Agree, cost and quality vary as do people's individual tastes. Always a tough question to answer.
Follow @simong link when he remembers to post it as he's got good experience and knowledge in the area of juice you're interested in.

Also, if you do decide to mix, there are numerous calculators out there that make it alot easier. I personally use this one: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/create

Ive also heard one pound e liquid is quite good aswell :)

Hope that helps.

Manabush do some seriously good backy and fruit infused juice and they are 50/50 ratio.

There is another list I set up ages ago but for your needs Simon's list is the best place to start.

They seem pretty good according to the website and reviews. I've placed a small order to see what they're like. So many brands to choose from it's quite overwhelming.

They are excellent value no doubt, overall the thing I find with LiQuid is that they are quite 'light' ... which some people will like. I've found that I prefer a more heavy flavour, rich and dark kind of taste. There's no 'good' or 'bad' about that it's just a preference and often on a hot summer's day I will vape something lighter too. It's always a bit of a journey for everyone as we find out what we like and what we don't like.

I figured it was worth a try at that price no matter how they turn out. I'ts more about the nicotine to me though, flavour comes second,so long as there's a distinct taste and doesn't taste horrid I think I'll be happy.

As a mouth to lung vapour can I ask what nicotine strength you use yourself? I've been going for 18ml to keep those death stick cravings in check. Though the Halo brand I have seem to have more nicotine than the Oh My God brand despite both being 18ml,on the bottle at least. I know vaping takes longer for the nicotine buzz to kick in though so I've allowed for that.
